Of course, it was the eleventh hour when I called and tried to make an evening reservation on Valentine’s Day. And, of course, like everyone else they were completely booked but they did call me back and I was so happy that they could squeeze us in. We enjoyed the best meal we could have hoped for. The house red (forget the varietal) was so perfectly pared with the shrimp appetizer, Gamberi Di Amaretto. And the chardonnay was lovely with the escargots. Our entrees were equally delicious and in spite of the fact that it was a very busy evening for Napoli’s, the food arrived at our table fresh and hot and the service was perfect. Water glasses were always topped up and we were never left unattended for long. The servers were very friendly and approachable and it all made for a fantastic dining experience. We also didn’t feel over-crowded in this ‘full-to-capacity’ restaurant. Our table provided plenty of elbow room and the table conversation was easy to hear in spite of people. We were very comfortable and happy to be enjoying the wonderful atmosphere. We can’t wait to have dinner at Napoli’s again. Read more

The chicken and beef are both pretty good. I've had the donair and it tends to be a little dry and the chicken or beef shawarma are so much better. The garlic potatoes are very good if you get them fresh (which the usually are). If they've been sitting around a while the tend to be very oily. The sauces and sides are pretty much the norm. I love this place. Best clubs in Ottawa. The atmosphere is a bit stale (sort of a dark old sports bar type of feel), and their prices are a bit on the high side, but their food is so darn good. Went to this restaurant after watching "You Gotta Eat Here", was our first Poutine ever and it was quite delicious. I ate a fabulous sandwich and my sister said her sandwich was the best vegetarian sandwich she ever had. Desserts looked really appealing but were not as amazing as we expected. I came here for lunch a few months ago and was very impressed. We arrived just as the place opened up; the upstairs dining area had not been opened yet. Regardless, I asked if we could have a table on the upper level and the wait staff accommodated our request and opened up the upstairs area and we were given the option to have our choice of any table we wanted. We chose a table on the North side of the restaurant with a great view of the By-ward Market. My burger tasted a little dry but as I had never tried buffalo or bison before I didn't know if that was normal or not.
