Went for lunch at Sushi Ginza due to the great ratings on here. I am glad I went. The place was not busy at all and my friend and I got a table quickly. I had the sashimi salad lunch special and my friend had the Sushi Roll lunch special. Each special came with tempera chips, 2 pieces of calamari, 2 pieces of salmon type roll, a potato croquette, and fruits. I also ordered the torpedo roll (smoke salmon, tempera shrimp, tataki tuna) which is really delicious name maybe right. The sashimi salad was really yummy. Big portion all around. Katsura is tucked away in a separate, but connected, building right beside the main building of the Prince Hotel. The food here is very good but only slightly better than the cheaper places in the area. The teppanyaki tables are good. The sushi is fresh. The prices are high and the portions are not particularly large. So why would someone choose this place over its cheaper competitors? It's the decor and the service that makes this place stand out. From the moment you step in out of the snow, you are surrounded by tasteful Japanese decor. In the main dining area, the place is elegant, simple and to the point.
