This is the best fish and chips that I've ever tried in Toronto. (I went there on the advice of a friend and would have never have gone here without that recommendation). It's a very unassuming place, with fairly drab surroundings. But the fish is top notch, with large portions at a good price. I don't really know what else to say besides that. Edulis is amazing. The only thing disappointing for me is when dinner is over. The food is phenomenal, the service is warm and friendly, and the space is comfortable and unpretentious. I was there on a recent Saturday evening at 5:30 and had to wonder, though, why the hostess felt compelled to inform me that my table was booked at 7:30. It felt rather rude and unwelcoming.
