Ate at Windies on a whim on a Monday night. The atmosphere was nice and waitress was friendly. They have a very diverse selection of Caribbean and Chinese-style food, and a good assortment of cocktails - unfortunately, no beer on tap. I had the Jerk mixed chow-mein and bbq wings. Wings were better than expected at this type of joint, and the main entree was good and *massive*, especially given the ~$13 price. Would definitely return. Read more

Excellent meal. Service was great - waitress was fun and checked on us every so often to see how we were doing. Food? Delicious! My burger was great, and the rest of my family thought good of the restaurant as well. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The old-fashioned chalkboard written deals and combos scattered across the restaurant felt like good-old home. I tell you all, this is my new FAVORITE place to eat. I had a bite of chicken fingers, too -- HeAvEnLy! If you decide to dine here, you won't be disappointed, I guarantee it! Amazing atmosphere, super friendly people. We moved into the East York area about 2 years ago and we always go there for a fun time. My husband and I came here for lunch with our three boys and we were not disappointed! Three of us ordered the fish and chips - husband said they were the best in the City he has ever had. Light batter and lots of fish. I had a small greek salad with extra chicken - very tasty, and the chicken was tender and well seasoned.
