We've had excellent experiences with the food both times we have had it. Once was take-out and last night we dined in! This type of food is relatively new to me, but it's definitely something that my wife and I have enjoyed discovering! The service was a bit on the slow side but then again, we were surprised with how busy the place was on a Sunday night! That must say something about how good the food is! Once we got our food, we enjoyed it thoroughly. The inside was much nicer than I expected looking from the outside and the portions were large enough that my wife and I both had leftovers for lunch! I have been visiting Sushi Mountain for just over 2 years now and I have never had fresher sushi anywhere in Toronto. My husband and I love going for their all you can eat option, which at other places usually isn't so great. I find the white tuna at SM to be some of the best I've ever had (I was very disappointed with my experience in Yorkville after visitng SM). Their tempura has always been fresh and crisp, the handrolls are usually packed with fresh fish and their sushi and sashimi are always freshly made and really flavourful. I've never experienced some of the things that other reviewers have mentioned like bad mayo, etc... The restaurant is usually very quiet even when it is packed with people. The service is fine and the restaurant is typically very clean. There is lots of parking as it is in a strip mall and usually no line up. I would definitely recommend trying this place if you haven't yet. Read more

The family favorite! We go to the Ajax location mostly. Fantastic food. We never order the all-you-can-eat as the lunch 2 roll special is so big, you can hardly get through it, plus it's so reasonable at $6.95. We eat there once a week and order in often. We avoid ordering in any hot food as it always arrives stone cold. You just can't re-warm dumplings. Even the raw fish haters in the family find something delicious on the menu. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Service is fast and friendly. The only down side is, my husband always talks in a Japanese accent when we go....and does the same at any ethnic restaurant that we visit. He can't seem to help himself....it's very embarrassing. I've been here a few times over the years and this restaurant does not disappoint! The food is pretty standard for American cuisine and is usually well cooked, though I once had chicken that tasted off. The signature sauce that comes with meals is amazing! Dessert portions are too small for the price but prevent me from overeating. Service is friendly but sometimes slow during peak times. It is very difficult to find any good hakka restaurants in the area especially oshawa/whitby area.
