Tonight’s dinner was amazing! Zaina (sorry if spelled wrong) was an amazing friendly, professional and down to earth server. Truly a pleasant night! The atmosphere on the patio was great! Jenna, our server, made the experience so enjoyable! We had a retirement dinner last night. We were provided with a wonderful description of the menu. A lot of laughs. Jenna has a level 3 Sommelier course, if you are interested in Wine. She’s Greek, so loves lamb! But watch out, she’s pretty witty having a Bachelor degree Psychology. It was nice to have such a personable server. We had a lovely room to chat with our group. The food was delicious. Our retiree was provided with a free dessert. Read more

Fabulous food! I have walked by on several occasions and was certainly not disappointed when finally trying their place. You can tell the food is made from scratch and with skill. The real buffalo mozzarella in the caprese is a nice change and the lamb was cooked perfectly. Ambiance was nice and relaxed, not overly noisy. Waiters are very nice and attentive. Wine list is impressive. Biagio himself was nice enough to introduce himself at our table; A very pleasant surprise. Apparently they have monthly wine tasting events too. We will definitely return. We did read a lot of reviews about the David Duncan House and were a bit skeptical about dining here last week, We had some friends in from out of town and decided to come here for dinner,We did however drop by one afternoon and looked around and picked up a menu, We had a reservation for 6.30 pm, got seated in the lower level,nice round table in the corner, The servers were yes a bit old school but very kind and did answer all our questions.Ordered some cocktails and got some galic bread,pickles and cottage cheese, We started of with a caeser for 4 that was prepared table side, All I can say is that is was to die for,Crispy romaine rich thick salad dressing made from the scratch. Main dishes were Rack of lamb,Filet mignon,Dover sole,and Prime Rib,We also had a bottle of red shiraz that the server recommended for 39.95 that was a great complimant to our meals,I myself had the Dover sole and my wife the filet, All of our meals were very good, The vegetables were ok a bit bland,the baked and mashed potatos were good, The servers were around when needed and did look after us through our evening, We did not have any dessert just some coffee and tea, Our friends have beev raving about this place to all there friends and made it a point to tell us when ever they visit us we will be going to the David Duncan House , In my opinion the reataurant was great, Not over priced a good meal and experienced servers, It is a dining room from the past era that has been around for a long time so I guess they are donig something right, My wife and I will be visiting again soon as we enjoyed our eveing with our friends, Read more

One of my favorite restaurants in Barrie. We've been here many times for many special occasions. We always enjoy the food and experience every time we go. Today we tried his brunch menu and it was really good as well. We had the Eggs Benny and Breakfast Poutine, along with a side of the homemade onion and apple sausages. Delicious.
