I can't say enough about this place! I have been going since 1998! So a well established place. I go for lunch hot plate. You can choose several items from: peppers, pasta, chicken, sausage, broccoli, potato, bread. Where else can you get a full, healthy delicious, hot meal for $8.00. I haven't been there for supper and I don't think they offer the hot plate on weekends or supper. It is in a business park so they really cater to the weekday lunch. Read more

I have been going to Christina's for years, and i can honestly say that every time i go, it's a great experience. the waitresses are always lovely, and i really enjoy the homey atmosphere. Although I admit that the service can be a little slow at times, i also realize that i am not the one cooking the food, or serving it. i, as a customer, understand that there are things that happen behind the scenes that the waitresses nor the cooks can control, and that everybody makes mistakes sometimes. as far as the food, i like that it's all home made. there have been a couple times when the food was a bit over cooked for my liking, but it wasnt anything that would discourage me from going back. i think some people forget how hard it is to run a business. lighten up! one bad meal isnt the end of the world! I've never written a review (and we enjoy our dinners out at various restaurants), but this place really deserves one! My husband and I drive from Pickering to have dinner here and it's always worth the drive! The ambience, service and food are all amazing! My favourite dish is the Arctic Char - it's so good that even my husband ordered it once (he's not one to order fish for dinner). He's stated that the lamb is the best he's ever had. It is a family oriented restaurant where kids are welcome which is nice. And this from a senior senior.
