We arrived a little late for without reservations, but the restaurant had a table and seated us immediately (was a full house). My dinner companion ordered a glass of wine (sauvignon blanc) which was delivered promptly. I had Shiraz. We ordered the salade. The salad was crisp, fresh with crunch toasted walnuts, sweet roasted beets, and tangy raspberry viniagrette. The prawns were fabulous, seared tender and sweet, prepared with lemon butter, tomatoes and capers. Our entrees were the New York steak and she ahd salmon. Both were very good, prepared just right with a light charred crust. Did not stay for dessert, as we were out of time and had other commitments (hotel reservation) and a curfew. Our server was attentive, without being intrusive, and very helpful with explaining the menu choices. Unfortunately, he was a he. Room was dark, clean, lots of wood tones... room is a little packed, but acceptable because the darkness assured privacy. Read more

You have to remember when going here that this is a wine tasting room, not a place to have dinner. The wine list is imaginative and approachable. The service on a good night is excellent, on a bad night is so-so, but the staff have always been very helpful with the wine choices, pairings, and flight recommendations. The food is charcuterie, not full meals. Use this place to meet up for a pre-dinner drink, or to end off the night with some wine appreciation. Read more

My wife and I live near this Milestones and have gone a number of times. Every time we have been to this Milestones we have received fantastic service, and the food has been fabulous. We enjoy visiting this location, and especially enjoy the heated patio with views of the mountains on the North Shore! I would recommend this Milestones to anyone! Read more

Yaletown Brewing Company was one of the first restaurants involved in the revitalization of Yaletown and the fact that they're still here has got to tell you something. They make good food and, since they are a brew pub, they make great beer. Like all the other Mark James Group restaurants they offer the cheap beer and pizza nights that my family and I enjoy so much but quite often we head here for all the other great items on the menu too! If you can't decide which beer you want to try ask the server for one of their tasting flights where you get four different beers to sample. The location is outstanding and they have a lounge on one side and restaurant on the other so if you just want drinks and appys after work they are a great spot to choose! Last time we were there I had the Jakarta bowl with lamb tenderloin in a soy sauce with peppers and it was outstanding, My folks were with us and they swore by the fish and chips as well. One other cool thing that Yaletown does is if there is a game on at Rogers Arena they offer shuttle service to the game. So go on down to Yaletown Brewing Company and check them out! Read more

The pasta at Old Spaghetti Factory is good to eat and you get decent value for the money. The pasta can tend to be ordinary from the perspective of the selections but they put together good food and they offer a fun atmosphere and decor that makes them a good family restaurant for when you are downtown with your family. Vraiment un incontournable si vous avez de jeunes enfants! La nourriture est délicieuse...la meilleure pizza, les meilleurs pâtes, tout fait avec des ingrédients locaux et biologiques. Parfait si vous avez des enfants allergiques aux arrachides, c'est un établissement qui n'utilise aucune noix dans sa cuisine. Il y a une petite cuisinette ou les enfants peuvent jouer pendant que papa et maman relaxent. Réservez une table à côté de l'aire de jeux pour surveiller vos petits sans avoir à vous déplacer. Les employés sont très chaleureux et adorent les enfants. C'est très bruyant et les enfants sont partout! C'est notre resto préféré pour sortir en famille à Vancouver. The restaurant has a colourful decor, friendly staff and overall a cheerful atmosphere. They say they cook authentic Malaysian food; well I can verify this, however, I can say that I love every dish on their menu. They were voted 'Best Other Asian Restaurant' in 2008 and 'Best South East Asian Restauranr' in 2009. I think this alone says a lot. Read more

A great restaurant with a really cosy, warm atmosphere. Were there during our honeymoon and the staff was really pleasant. The food was very good, if a bit pricey.
