My wife is a sushi expert. She has tried almost every sushi restaurant in the downtown vicinity on multiple occassions and quite often the staff will know who she is. That being said, I definitely trust her opinion on Sushi and right now this place is her favorite. It is a small sit-down/takeout restaurant on Robson street and it is fairly new, and the sushi is fantastic. The salmon is always fresh and since they don't serve famred salmon it is always amazing. The miso soup is complimentary with a minimum $5 order and the staff are always pleasant. The only downside is they don't have any cooked food, it is purely sushi with some noodle soup options. We chose this location as it served both brunch and lunch options on Sundays and it takes reservation through OpenTable. We tried the breakfast manouche, lamb sausage with poached eggs and lamb kafta. Both were very good and flavorful. Their daily juice special was made with fresh ginger and it gave it a nice kick. The service was good and the lower level of the restaurant was full. Lots of pay street parking else park a few blocks away where there are no meters in the residential surroundings. Read more

The four of us had a wonderful meal. We ordered 8 dishes to share and that was maybe one dish too many. We tried the kale salad, sweet potatoes, bacon pizza, burrata toasts, tortellini, meatballs, cavatelli and clams with mussels. It was all very good. The service was friendly and excellent. Huge wine menu from reasonably priced to the high end. Our ordered was taken by iPad and it was cool how she was able sequence the dishes out. Nice modern decor with a tasteful bird scheme of course.
