We have visited Watermark several times, and unlike most of the posters have never had a problem. Except. they should ban smoking on the patio, although that might be a city bylaw. Our recent visit was a busy, sunny Sunday at around noon. We were told it would be about 10 minutes to be seated, actually it turn out to be around 5 minutes. After being seated our waitress showed up in good time and asked for our drink order, she showed up quickly with our drinks and took our food order. She said the kitchen was quite busy and our order might take a little longer than usual. We asked about appetizers that might hold us to the food arrived and she said they really don't serve them. Imagine our surprise when showed up a little while later with a plate of mini muffins for us, and then, refilled the plate. I know it's not much.....but it was something. And actually, it didn't seem like too long till our food arrived. The only complaint was from my daughter....kids.....who said, and this well be somewhat odd, her tacos had too much topping on them, and that the meat sauce made the tortilla chips "soggy". She may right on "soggy" bit, but she likes the chips most of all :-) . It was a good lunch, and everyone enjoyed their meal, although the accompanying salads with sandwiches were on the small side. Chicken club was made with a chicken breast, and lobster clubs had plenty of filling. If I have a different experience, I'll post it. Read more

We've been to the Granite Brewery a number of times as the food is always fantastic with generous portions. In addition to the delicious food, they have a good selection of their own brews. We especially enjoyed their Ringwood, a delightful blonde. There are different atmospheres for different tastes, but at the Granite Brewery they have several to choose from. Two excellent patios, a bar, and a family restaurant area, all designed for comfort. The rear patio looks particularly amazing, but as it was raining, we'll just have to wait until next time to try it out. It should also be noted that the Granite Brewery has free parking with easy access. The Granite Brewery gets our highest recommendation and we will be back soon. Read more

Lion on the Beach is great place to relax, drink and eat. The food to date has always been delicious and scores high points in presentation and originality. While it is the disguise as regular pub fare, it would appear to be more tantilizing than one would have expected. The atmosphere is soothing and fun much like the rest of the beaches. The services can be a bit irradict due to overflow of customers but has always been exceptional. The one draw back on the services comes from one particular bartender who has forced me to go on painkillers due to making me smile so hard that my face hurts. Cheers Read more

We absolutely loved this place. We were looking for a table on the patio, but when we arrived it was full. One of the waiters came out to us and told us that he could have a table ready for us in two minutes...and he did. Our waiter was a very nice young man who catered very well to us. Excellent meal. Service was great - waitress was fun and checked on us every so often to see how we were doing. Food? Delicious! My burger was great, and the rest of my family thought good of the restaurant as well. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The old-fashioned chalkboard written deals and combos scattered across the restaurant felt like good-old home. I tell you all, this is my new FAVORITE place to eat. I had a bite of chicken fingers, too -- HeAvEnLy! If you decide to dine here, you won't be disappointed, I guarantee it! I’ve been to Dog and Bear many times. It’s a traditional British style pub. It’s laid back and chill, not a place for an event but definitely a place to hang out with the friends and grab some pints. Football(soccer) lovers as owners the screens always have good matches on during the season. If you are there on a day where west Ham and Man U go head to head you will likely see the rivalry as friends and supporters pile in and sit in separate sections of the bar to cheer for their teams. One of the best pub experience ever. Excellent choice of food and service. We were a group of 6 we didn't have any reservation's. We all were served very nicely, drinks were filled constantly, manager was present and asked us how everything was and suggested us to stay for Karaoke as well. Food quality was excellent, we had wings for appetizer's. They were huge jumbo wing's and it was half price during the leafs game. Rest of all the food were excellent. I had the best turkey dinner at this establishment. The whole flavor, gravy and stuffing were just the best. Will tell all our friends's and highly recommend to every one. Read more
