Spectacular service - I believe her name was Sarah -She was all over everything for us that night (November 2011) Despite the number of tables she had that night, she gave top notch service and all of us left a lot happier (after 2 bottles of wine of course). Unassuming location adds to the charm. After finding out about Chefs Kebab I have been back over the past year probably 15 times; so this review is not from a single visit... it is ALWAYS VERY GOOD! The staff do a great job and it is a pleasure dropping in for lunch or dinner. We arrived a little late for without reservations, but the restaurant had a table and seated us immediately (was a full house). My dinner companion ordered a glass of wine (sauvignon blanc) which was delivered promptly. I had Shiraz. We ordered the salade. The salad was crisp, fresh with crunch toasted walnuts, sweet roasted beets, and tangy raspberry viniagrette. The prawns were fabulous, seared tender and sweet, prepared with lemon butter, tomatoes and capers. Our entrees were the New York steak and she ahd salmon. Both were very good, prepared just right with a light charred crust. Did not stay for dessert, as we were out of time and had other commitments (hotel reservation) and a curfew. Our server was attentive, without being intrusive, and very helpful with explaining the menu choices. Unfortunately, he was a he. Room was dark, clean, lots of wood tones... room is a little packed, but acceptable because the darkness assured privacy. Read more

They have a good standard menu. My friend loves her BC beef burger and I decided to try the ribs for a change. It was fine and served with coleslaw and potato salad. Lots of booth seating or tables. Not loud so you can hear yourself talk except for the odd child being a little noisy. The service was good especially if you go early evening when not busy just yet. We finished it odd with a sizeable brownie served with ice cream which did the sugar trick. Read more
