Have eaten here twice. Both times, the service and food were amazing. I'm a celiac, and they have a lot of gluten free options for me, too, which is nice. Love the risottos, salads are awesome, and the creme brulee was amazing. The butternut squash soup was also to die for! Plan to eat here many more times, highly recommend. Read more

This place is overpriced for what you get. My friend and I shared a light dinner, a glass of wine each and tea, and our bill (with tip and tax) came to $100. I ordered the gnocci in tomato sauce, which was very good, and the bread was tasty. But for a meatless meal with no dessert and no appetizer, the prices are too high. It seems like you're paying for atmosphere. The service was pretty good, but at the end when it got busier we had to signal for service. I think there's better value out there for the money. Seemed like a lot of people there could "expense" their dinners, which explains the crowd. Read more

This is truly one of the best Mexican restaurants around. The atmosphere is simple and as stated in other reviews, the seating is limited. The service was relatively fast and pleasant. What we ordered is listed below. Everything was fresh, delicious and the platters were balanced and well presented. It is clear that there is an underlying culinary passion at this restaurant that is rarely found these days. Reasonable prices make this an ideal spot for lunch or dinner. After reading some excellent reviews, I decided to bring my husband here for his birthday dinner. Most of what we had were new to us but very tasty. I've always wanted to try jamon iberico and we were able to get our first taste of the famed iberico and it was indeed fantastic! Wow! what a great spot on King Street. Owner Tony Loschiavo has done it again. Newly opened Paese on King Street delivers. With a beautiful upscale atmosphere, fun and not pretentious, he is going to give the others on this King St West strip a run! Excellent food, great friendly genuine service.
