Great food, great prices, great atmosphere (whether inside or on the patio), great service!
What more can I say? I love the variety of the daily specials as well.
The one problem is the rude, older gentleman server with the goatee-like facial hair. He's rude and sarcastic, but I try to avoid his section!Read more

The nachos are to die for, and I don't even like nachos very much.
The menu was severely limited due to the incredible business that is Pride Week, and I was at a stretch finding something vegetarian and to my liking. After being told that they were accepting no substitutions (understandably, but I just wanted no mayo and onion on the veggie burger), I went with my second choice, the curry. I wasn't expecting much, but it succeeded my expectations. Not fantastic and it needed more than a sprinkle of salt, but pleasant nonetheless. Co-diners raved about their nachos and pulled pork.
Service was a bit scattered due to business, but were very friendly. When a beer was brought to our table that wasn't ordered -- but welcomed! -- he let us have it on the house. Blanche de Chambly on tap, fantastic!Read more

On a whim on a perfect day this summer, I found myself on Center Island with a delightful 2-person-bike rental. My companion and I biked to Ward Island and stumbled upon this little gem of a cafe.
We sat on the backyard patio and it was a brilliant sight. Perfectly tree-shaded area with a gentle breeze to set off your view of the lovely garden and the lake behind it.
The service was good: warm and attentive. The food was nicely done, and I enjoyed my salad (very filling) and chatting in the pleasant surroundings. This is a perfect place to stop for a break, a light meal or a cool drink on a warm day.
I will definitely check back upon returning to The Island.Read more
As far as pubs in the toronto area there are plenty to find. I had a wonderful experience @ the unicorn pub recently. Our server/bartender Jennifer was extremely friendly and fun for our group. We all felt as though she knew us personally. I know my memory is not great but she remembered all of our names and what we drank and she had never met usbefore. The service was phenomenal. The meals were above average for the price and pub fare. If you are looking for a quaint spot for a gathering book with Jennifer she is far beyond what a typical pub gal usually ranks and I think she should open her own place that smile and gift of gab will take her far......Darren - TorontoRead more

The inside of this restaurant is quintessential diner. The lady behind the bar was very friendly as was our server. The food came out quickly, hot, and fresh even though it was a busy time of the day. For the price, the sandwich was a little small but given the location so near to Yonge & Dundas I suppose higher prices should be expected. The huevos rancheros came with 2 eggs, a generous amount of black beans, avocado, and chorizo sausage as well as a delicious corn muffin. A very nice experience overall and a very convenient location!Read more

The best Indian restaurant in Toronto. The only restaurant on Gerrard with a constant line up (and think how many restaurants there are). A great buffet, always being replenished.
