My friend casually said as we drove, have you tried "Wok's Taste"? That's where we get our Chinese food." I said "No." He made a detour and drove me past the unassuming storefront. They've been there for years, and have a full menu with all the favourites. Today I tried it. I ordered way too much for delivery and glad I did! It will not be wasted! Went here for a friends birthday and was not disappointed! The martini list is by far the best I have ever seen and the little tappa type appetizers we ordered hit the spot. The service was slow, but didn't really stick out in my memory. If I am in Oakville again I will definitely revisit this restuarant! Read more

Dropped in for lunch this week and was very pleasantly surprised to find this calibre of Japanese food in Peterborough. Excellent food. Very authentic. So much so it helps to be familiar with Japanese food before ordering (staff speak very little English). Fixed price for as much as you want on the menu. However a note on menu says you will be charged for what you don't eat. I thought that was an inspired way to prevent the waste usually associated with all you can eat restaurants. A little pricy but you certainly get your money's worth. Looking forward to a return visit for dinner. Read more

Delicious food! I don't know why the other reviews are so bad, but this was by far the best chinese food I have ever had! I went in with my friend and the service was awesome! We were seated immediately, and our food came in about 5-10 minutes! The owner was so nice, and the atmosphere was cozy! The food was delicious! YOU MUST try the general chicken! I'm not sure why it took so long to try this place out, after all, it's only 5 minutes away from my house. I'm glad I did, as it was a nice surprise. Featuring quite a big menu, with some good specials, there is something for everyone here. As with most Chinese restaurants, the portions are very big, but I found the prices to be lower than normal. The quality of the food and the speed at which it was cooked was impressive. With the exception of the egg rolls (which are obviously precooked and heated up), everything tasted hot and fresh. Very friendly guys work there and delivery is free over a certain amount. They do need to add a tip column to their receipt when they deliver though! All in all, a great little Chinese take-out place that I will definitely use again. The 'Atmosphere' is pretty irrelevant since it's really only take-out. There are 3 or 4 tiny tables in there, but I can't imagine anyone using them. Read more

We ordered the Beef tenderloin crostini, pork belly, baby back ribs, and black cod. The pork belly was the crispest and least fatty that I've ever had, it was spectacular. The flavors on the crostini were very good, the cherry chutney and dijon aioli went very well together. And the ribs... much better than any I've had at a Ribfest. My GF said the black cod was the tastiest fish she had ever had. The ambiance is nice cottage country, the dining room intimate with only four tables. A definite repeat!. Read more
