I took my husband out for dinner last night, to celebrate his birthday. It was our first visit to David's and we were both impressed. First, I want to commend the great service we received. We were looked after in a timely, and polite manor. Our server was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and wines. We only ordered entrees, as we aren't big eaters and find restaurant portions fill us quickly. He ordered the chicken and wow -- the bacon sauce was fantastic. I kept trying to steal it of his plate. I ordered the filet mignon, and it was cooked to perfection. My gnocchi was light and tasty. But I will say that my sauce was a little bland in comparison to the bacon sauce. Not that there was anything wrong with my balsalmic/tarragon jus/with onions, it was good, but the bacon sauce would beat just about anything hands down. My only constructive criticism would be that the pink/red walls are a little jarring and the awning out front could use a wash (covered in bird droppings). So yeah - not much to complain about. We'd definitely go again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend others try it out. Read more

We stopped in on our way home from Stratford and we are very happy we did, The waitress who greeted us was so friendly. We ordered our dinners and they arrived very quickly. I had a grilled cheese sandwich with fries and it was delicious, real cheddar cheese and the fries were yummy. My husband had the egg salad sandwich and soup and he said it was very good. The restaurant is very clean and the waitress was really very nice. We plan to return to have a full dinner soon as the menu looked nice with lots of choices. I find myself at this place multiple times during the week. I go for breakfast one day, lunch the next, and then for dinner another day, and I'm usually there for the nights events. They have great concerts, great food, the staff, at least the bartenders and bouncers are all fantastic and some of my good friends, and the service is more often than not fast and helpful. Just the other day after going to this place for a year and a half, had my first bad experience with service, but after mentioning it to the manager, everything got sorted out and I still had an excellent meal even though it was a bit slower than usual. And their drinks are fantastic. I've only had one bad drink there and that was after they just started a new barrel so the beer was a bit watery - I just asked for a new one and they gave it to me no problem. I can't say enough good things about this place. I never turn down an invite to this place. Read more
