Arrived late, cook had left but as we just left without food, the owner and his wife invited us back in and his chef wife made wonderful chicken Alfredo and done in seemingly minutes. The service was worth the trip alone and the delicious portions filled this 270 pound (123kg) hearty eater. The waiter, Ray, extremely nice and the owner introduced wife after we finished. From the service by Joel..to the mouthwash in the restaurant. My family and the other 2 families that enjoyed our experience will be calling here our favorite place to eat. The food and environment was amazing. We were catered to even with our noisy children that made it quite difficult all was taken great strides! The best Indian restaurant in Toronto. The only restaurant on Gerrard with a constant line up (and think how many restaurants there are). A great buffet, always being replenished. Great variety of flavours and presentations. The bread is out of this world. If you order from the menu, the selection is even better. I've been to Brownstone's several times now, and it's always a good experience. Friendly staff, and good food. Their brunch gets busy on Sundays, and deservedly so, but we were able to make a reservation the night before for our not-so-small party. The banana and Nutella pancakes were delicious, but topped with syrup, were a bit rich for my delicate stomach. Good fresh orange juice. The decor is lively and interesting, though sitting near the front door can be drafty in cool weather. Read more
