Love this place. My partner and I come to this place often. In a number of years we have never had an issue with service nor food quality. We absolutely loved this place. We were looking for a table on the patio, but when we arrived it was full. One of the waiters came out to us and told us that he could have a table ready for us in two minutes...and he did. Our waiter was a very nice young man who catered very well to us. Excellent meal. Service was great - waitress was fun and checked on us every so often to see how we were doing. Food? Delicious! My burger was great, and the rest of my family thought good of the restaurant as well. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The old-fashioned chalkboard written deals and combos scattered across the restaurant felt like good-old home. I tell you all, this is my new FAVORITE place to eat. I had a bite of chicken fingers, too -- HeAvEnLy! If you decide to dine here, you won't be disappointed, I guarantee it! I’ve been to Dog and Bear many times. It’s a traditional British style pub. It’s laid back and chill, not a place for an event but definitely a place to hang out with the friends and grab some pints. Football(soccer) lovers as owners the screens always have good matches on during the season. If you are there on a day where west Ham and Man U go head to head you will likely see the rivalry as friends and supporters pile in and sit in separate sections of the bar to cheer for their teams. The waiter that sat us down was extremely nice as was the waitress serving us. The enthusiastic attitude of both of them definitely made this place having amazing service. The service is not the same at the Casey's near AMC in Scarborough. The service here was outstanding. As far as pubs in the toronto area there are plenty to find. I had a wonderful experience @ the unicorn pub recently. Our server/bartender Jennifer was extremely friendly and fun for our group. We all felt as though she knew us personally. I know my memory is not great but she remembered all of our names and what we drank and she had never met usbefore. The service was phenomenal. The meals were above average for the price and pub fare. One of the best pub experience ever. Excellent choice of food and service. We were a group of 6 we didn't have any reservation's. We all were served very nicely, drinks were filled constantly, manager was present and asked us how everything was and suggested us to stay for Karaoke as well. Food quality was excellent, we had wings for appetizer's. They were huge jumbo wing's and it was half price during the leafs game. Rest of all the food were excellent. I had the best turkey dinner at this establishment. The whole flavor, gravy and stuffing were just the best. Will tell all our friends's and highly recommend to every one. Read more
