You have to remember when going here that this is a wine tasting room, not a place to have dinner. The wine list is imaginative and approachable. The service on a good night is excellent, on a bad night is so-so, but the staff have always been very helpful with the wine choices, pairings, and flight recommendations. Had Excalibur over to repair my dishwasher and fix some trim on my stove since he was over anyway. He was able to come over right away which was nice. He ended up having to order some parts and had to come back to complete the job but everything went well. I would recommend them to anyone in the Cobble Hill/Mill Bay area needing appliance repairs. We tried their beef sukiyaki and shabu shabu. I don't mind cooking my own food so this style of eating I enjoy and find fun. The amount of food offered I would say good for a light dinner meal, but you can always add on. We were here at the last hour of closing and was not that hungry so this was perfect. The service was very friendly. Like in Japan they do not expect any tipping. Very reasonably priced restaurant. Read more
