There is a science to cooking pasta right, you cant just throw everything in a pan and cook it. You can tell they take their time with each dish, and it just tastes magnificent. I originally went for a business meeting, and some how the meeting started to revolve around the food. Great tasting Italian food Period.

Nice touches on their meals. Portions are not over sized, which is good if you don't want to overeat! I've had veal parmigiane (sp?) and the salmon with some unique sauce. The vegetables have been spectacular both times and like I said before, the presentation is pleasing. The house wine (by the glass) is decently priced and quite good. It is a bit pricey though. I would only go back for a very special occasion with my husband. It is a very romantic atmosphere. I am looking forward to going again.

I've had the pleasure of experiencing multiple sushi restaurants in Ottawa, but 168 Sushi in Merivale by far stands out from the rest in regards to the variety available and quality of taste. My fiance and I recommend this location to our friends and family, as well as taking advantage of their fast and effective delivery service. The buffet at both lunch and dinner is reasonably priced and it is very easy to get your money's worth out of the food.
Personal Highlights:
-Miso Soup
-Curry Chicken
-Mango and Crab Rolls
-Pork Dumplings
-Salmon Roses
The restaurant feels more like a night-club than a sushi buffet, but I have grown attached to the overall atmosphere. The service sometimes forgets to bring an item on the card you fill out once in a while, I recommend filling out one card per table for everyone instead of having each person fill out their own card at the same table to make it easier for the chefs (which you get to watch prep the food).

The food may not be considered fine dining, but it is very good. What makes up for it is the service. The staff at this location are fabulous.
