I have to say that we've been coming to this place since it opened. We went to Cedar village because we couldn't get to Shawarma Chef, and it just re-enforced why we stopped going. It was not even busy and it was suppertime. We use to go to Cedar Village but, the garlic sauce is a mix of mayo and garlic, you want an extra tomato? pickle? onions on the shawarma? Its all extra costs. The owner, he makes you feel like he's doing you a favour serving you. Now, Shawarma Chef, the mom and dad come out and talk to you, the place is impeccably clean. You want a little extra, no worries, you want extra meat, they charge you a couple of bucks! My kids love the kafta, and we love there chicken, moist, seasoned nicely and bread is always fresh...the other...there's a reason why it gets overly toasted.

An out of the way little house that looks like a local take out pizza joint. Walk in and there are a few tables. Sit down and order and get some of the best Italian food I have had in Ottawa. Ask what the special is, you never know. We stared wit a sausage appetizer that is to die for, flavorful and spiced just right. There were 6 of us so we all ordered different things and tried each others. There was not a loser in the bunch. Skip the insalata, it is just greens on a plate. The veal picatta was outstanding and the pastas were great. Get the house wine, the night we were there it was a very good valpolicella.

Le Yapeux est le meilleur service de pension de la région Ottawa/Gatineau ! Les propriétaires et employés adorent les animaux et sont très compétents. Je leur ai confié mes deux chiens pendant plus de 10 ans. À chaque fois que je conduisais mes deux pitous là-bas, ils tiraient sur leur laisse vers les installations pour y entrer. Of course, it was the eleventh hour when I called and tried to make an evening reservation on Valentine’s Day. And, of course, like everyone else they were completely booked but they did call me back and I was so happy that they could squeeze us in.
We enjoyed the best meal we could have hoped for. The house red (forget the varietal) was so perfectly pared with the shrimp appetizer, Gamberi Di Amaretto. And the chardonnay was lovely with the escargots.
Our entrees were equally delicious and in spite of the fact that it was a very busy evening for Napoli’s, the food arrived at our table fresh and hot and the service was perfect. Water glasses were always topped up and we were never left unattended for long. The servers were very friendly and approachable and it all made for a fantastic dining experience.
We also didn’t feel over-crowded in this ‘full-to-capacity’ restaurant. Our table provided plenty of elbow room and the table conversation was easy to hear in spite of people. We were very comfortable and happy to be enjoying the wonderful atmosphere.
We can’t wait to have dinner at Napoli’s again.
