My family and I have been seeing Dr. Herman Shen for the last 15 years. He has always been courteous and thorough in all of his exams. Each of his offices, (in Metrotown, President Plaza and Henderson) are very convenient to go to with plenty of parking and shopping nearby. There is always a wait, but that is normal and to be expected at all doctor offices who are popular and sought after.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Herman Shen and Associates to all of my friends.

Dr. Yee is an absolutely PHENOMENAL dentist!
I haven't had a dental plan in a few years, so I have quite a back-log of procedures/cavities/crowns that need to be attended to. Dr. Yee did a thorough exam the first day I came to him back in March, and listed all the items that needed attention in my mouth, giving me a wide variety of treatment options for all of them. When my dental plan kicked in in August Jeanny was amazing! She went through ALL of the procedures with me and organized them so I got the maximum coverage from my plan with as little out of pocket expense as possible. She did A LOT of foot work for me, as did Dr. Yee, to ensure that my insurance and dental work was completed as efficiently as possible.
Now here's what sets Dr. Yee apart from any other dentist I've been to! One of the procedures I need is gum grafts. They are quite pricey, so I have a plan to complete the work over the next year and a bit with my insurer, again, thanks to Jeanny's tireless efforts. As Dr. Yee was preparing to do my first grafts today he saw a problem area next to the teeth to be grafted. Without hesitation, he did an extra graft FREE OF CHARGE to help circumvent future problems for me. If that isn't a caring/proactive dentist I don't know what is. Seriously, Dr. Yee, you've got a patient for life!
So in short, great staff, great doctor, everything was very hygienic, and all the equipment used is cutting edge. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist that actually CARES about the health of your mouth.

This is a quality clinic all around with very warm, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff from the front desk right to the team of Doctors. So much support for first time moms especially during this time with Covid 19 restrictions. I am thrilled and so happy I made the move from my original clinic to this one. Driving the extra few kms from Maple Ridge to Port Moody is no bother to me. I would highly recommend getting a referral to this clinic as it is in a league all it’s own. ?

Dr. Maru is excellent! My first visit he automatically took the time to go over my x-rays and dental history with me. I came back to have some scarring left over from my wisdom teeth removed, I was in and out in 15 minutes, AND he called the next day to check up on me - not a receptionist, him. Brought my toddler in for a cleaning today. Our hygienist was Jas, she did such a great job with my baby. She explained everything and let her touch and play before getting to work. She even had a mini chair ride, it was a success for a first her first visit to this office. As someone who has a needle phobia, Dr. Jas Gill is the best dentist I've been to for fillings. Super good numbing technique, very little discomfort (didn't even feel #1, #2 was nothing more than mildly uncomfortable!) I felt nothing the whole time. He works efficiently too, never let water/saliva pool in my mouth (unlike my old dentist who made whole lakes in there). The assistants are very attentive and everyone at this place is super friendly. I highly recommend this place!
