Open 24hrs, so prices are a little higher than other pho places. Around $9 for a large, but you get your money's worth because the portions are HUGE! They've achieved the perfect noodle to soup ratio. The soup is one of the best I've had and they do not skimp on the meat either! Fresh tender rare beef + brisket! It is a friendly restaurant. The waitresses are nice. The fish (sashimi) was very fresh, but the salmon and tuna were cut in a big chunk (too thick to eat). The the noodles of Nabeyaki Udon were too hard (normally japanese udon should be chewy). The soup of the udon is just a soy sauce soup based with some fish cakes, a shrimp tempura and a fish tempura. The tempura served with the noodles became soggy. The Uni sushi was fresh and the price is good ($6.50 per order). The vegetable tempura dinner is so so. The vegetable tempura were in big chunk, not crispy enough. The sauce of the tempura is okay. I saw other people in the next table who had bento box dinner. Those bento box dinners looked good to me. Your server may decide to eat your meal in front of you, this exact situation happened to me at this ghastly restaurant. Servers are all horrible people, and kitchen staff couldn't cook kraft dinner. After waiting 2 hours for food that would only take 30 minutes to cook they tried to tell us it's only been 40 minutes. Disrespect after disrespect from the staff at this terrible place. We had a family get together of 10 people dining at Crystal Rolls tonight. I highly recommend this thai-asian restaurant to people who are interested in asian food. Crystal Rolls has a big variety of food choices and almost each dish we ordered was delicious and authentic. We also enjoyed their romantic atmosphere and clean environment. Nice music and excellent service too. The best thing was that we didn't spend a lot of $ but we had a great time and great food. After seeing *some* favourable reviews and while in the Yorkdale area, I decided to try this place out. So I hope that I'm not being biased after reading unfavourable reviews about their service. We ordered Hwe Dup Bap (sashimi salad) and a dumpling soup with clear noodles - sorry, I don't remember the name. Shortly after placing ordering, 5 side dishes were brought out. Their flavours varied and they were yummy! The salad was perfect for a light, late lunch. Lotsa flavour, especially after adding the sweet/spicy chilli sauce which was provided in a squeeze bottle! My bf said that the dumpling broth was okay. Service-wise, side dishes were taken away, not replenished. And I had to ask for our tea to be refilled! Waitresses seemed waaay more attentive to a table of Korean men. Maybe it's because waitresses are more comfortable speaking their own language. So although service wasn't terrible per se, be a bit proactive to get even better service! Read more

My friends and I always enjoy Tokyo Kitchen. We've never been disappointed. The Gyoza are quite good. I tend to order the Donbury dishes and I go back again and again for them. My friends occasionally go for the ramen. They use the less common dark style with a touch of soy sauce in the broth. I'd recommend trying it at least once if you've only had light ramen before. The green tea icecream must be homemade. It's the most fantastic green tea icecream I've ever tasted. It's creamy and very mildly sweet with a real depth to the flavor - perfectly capturing the Japanese knack for subtle sweetness. Read more

Definitely the best bar / restaurant in the area. Great Patio in the back and very cozy atmosphere inside. This is a designated heritage building and there are old pictures of the area on the walls which is a nice touch. The food is great and it's a mix of Italian, Mexican, American. What I like most is the open kitchen. The food is prepped in the open! It's a refreshing change from almost all other restaurants that prep food behind closed doors (makes you wonder what's really crawling in the kitchen). The Bar has good selection on tap and there is a comfortable lounging area in the back by the fireplace as well.
