Their menu offers a variety of options, and dine in specials. We love the BC and Banzai rolls, all their sashimi and their pan fried and soup udon noodles. After seeing *some* favourable reviews and while in the Yorkdale area, I decided to try this place out. So I hope that I'm not being biased after reading unfavourable reviews about their service. We ordered Hwe Dup Bap (sashimi salad) and a dumpling soup with clear noodles - sorry, I don't remember the name. Shortly after placing ordering, 5 side dishes were brought out. Their flavours varied and they were yummy! The salad was perfect for a light, late lunch. Lotsa flavour, especially after adding the sweet/spicy chilli sauce which was provided in a squeeze bottle! My bf said that the dumpling broth was okay. Service-wise, side dishes were taken away, not replenished. And I had to ask for our tea to be refilled! Waitresses seemed waaay more attentive to a table of Korean men. Maybe it's because waitresses are more comfortable speaking their own language. So although service wasn't terrible per se, be a bit proactive to get even better service! Read more

we are here to try something we haven't tried last time~ here we go~ Tempura & Kalbi combo is delicious~ tempura vegis include 3 shrimps, 1 green pepper, 1 cucumber, 1 broccoli, 1 white onion, 1 sweet potato...(maybe i missed 1 more vegi) however, it's very satisfying... grilled kalbi is like bone-in beef teriyaki... very flavorful~ Sushi & Sashimi combo is awesome-ly fresh-ly delicious~ simply excellent for its price~ alright~ here comes the Salmon Head BBQ~ without this meal, I will give them 5 stars on Food catagory~ it's kinda dissapointing that the Salmon Head isn't grilled to order~ the salmon skin isn't charred till crispy~ it's more like it has been "microwaved"~ the interior is a bit hotter than the exterior of the Salmon~ the only drawback of the whole meal~ however~ the rest is still maintained to its perfection so far~ keep it up~ and see you next time~ Read more

When we arrived at New Generation, there was a line of eight people in front of us. We considered going elsewhere but the line quickly disappeared and we were soon seated at a table near the back by a friendly employee. Drinks came quickly while we looked at menus. I ordered the Beef Bento Box, which includes miso soup, salad, six maki, and then, in the box itself, beef, dumplings, tempura shrimp and vegetables, and rice. The miso soup came almost immediately and was given to everyone at the table, even those who didn't order a bento box. I've never really cared for miso, but everyone else seemed to like it. The salad came just as we finished the soup; the maki right after the salad. The next course of the meal always came right on time, just as you finished the previous one. Best of all, there was not one stabbing the entire time we were there. Employees were too busy refilling our drinks. The bento box has great quantity and quality; none of us were able to completely finish it and everything was well-prepared. As I was finishing my tempura vegetables: What the heck? There was a spring roll hidden underneath. **** YES. This is the first time I've been pleasantly surprised by something unexpected in my meal. As we writhed around in our seats from eating too much delicious food, the waitress informed us that our complimentary green tea ice cream was on its way. A bento box costs just over $10. I can't believe this place is real. Read more
