Last week I had an appointment for a denture adjustment with Dr. Vignault but a few days before the appointment I also had a molar that was bothering me. It was going to be extracted in the future but it was bothering me now. I asked Dr. Vignault if he could take care of it as I walked into the appointment. He said no problem and had it out within 15 minutes with absolutely no pain. He took care to surface numb the area first where the needle for the freezing was to be injected so I did not feel it go in. Previous dentists I have gone to never did this and I always felt the pinch of the needle which was to me the worst part. I felt no pinch and no pain when the tooth came out. 5 years ago our cat was hit by a car and it was 11:30pm by the time we found him. When he was barely able to move, we knew that we had to get him some care and fast. Our normal vet was closed and there seemed to be few options. Then, looking in the Yellow Pages, we found the ad for Vancouver Animal Emergency Clinic and thank goodness we did. As it turned out, our cat was in shock and suffering from a broken pelvis and a dislocated hip. Without the expert care and fast response of the veterinarians at the Animal ER it is likely that our cat would not have made it until morning. The caring staff ensured that they got him the care that he needed overnight until we was stable enough to be transferred to our vet for further treatment. The fact that he is dozing in the chair beside me today, 5 years later, is testament to the wonderful care provided at the Animal ER. If you find yourself in the unfortunate position of having to deal with a sick or injured animal you love and don't know where to turn, call the Animal ER. Read more
