We had the crab cakes and a salad to start and we both so enjoyed the sabelfish entree. It was one of the best sablelfish fish I have ever had, it was so moist and served overall in a healthy manner. We shared their chocolate molten cake dessert which was gooey good. Just as we were about to leave we noticed live music at 9pm so we stayed a little more longer to enjoy with some hot drinks. This place is the hottest freshest fast food in Nanaimo. Honestly, no one else serves food this good anywhere else. My spinach burrito was out of this world. We chose this location as it served both brunch and lunch options on Sundays and it takes reservation through OpenTable. We tried the breakfast manouche, lamb sausage with poached eggs and lamb kafta. Both were very good and flavorful. Their daily juice special was made with fresh ginger and it gave it a nice kick. The service was good and the lower level of the restaurant was full. Lots of pay street parking else park a few blocks away where there are no meters in the residential surroundings. Read more

The service was quite good as well even though they seemed very busy. It looks like my vision of a mediterranean restaurant from the '70s...which makes it even funnier that this is a Thai restaurant. All that aside, the food forgives all mistakes the decor makes. They make a very decent cashew nut chicken and all of their yellow and green curry options are really good. The spring rolls are outstanding and the sauce makes them even better. My wife and I used to love strolling the city and ending up at the Irish Heather for a pint (or three) and some fantastic authentic pub fare. This was in their original location. Then, we had a family and it took us a while to get back but we finally got back to check out their new digs and new menu. While the beer selection is still fantastic we were disappointed in the overall vibe. The food was still good but the value took a bit of a hit from their original location. While it was a great experience overall we still miss the original. Read more
