    DO NOT use Culina...

DO NOT use Culina's as a caterer. We had chosen them to cater our wedding and after 3 months of dealing with them they told me to find a different caterer. Cindy (catering manager) does not know how to reply to emails. You have to follow up on every email to get a response and this is after waiting sometimes over a month for a reply. I was prepared to make a deposit at our initial meeting but she advised we were to make a deposit after finalizing the menu. They ended up asking for a deposit even before we finalized the menu or sent me dessert options for the menu. She told me I either needed to book a food tasting(on a menu that wasn't completed?) OR make a deposit. When I told her I would book a tasting she freaked out on the phone and told me that people do that a month before their wedding. Her email specifically said I needed to book a tasting or make a deposit. I was only following her instructions as I have never done this before. Cindy told me that I seemed frustrated and asked why. When I explained, her repsonse was that that they will not cater my wedding and to find someone else. I spoke to Brad the owner (who happens to be Cindy's brother) and the first words out of his mouth were "She is my sister and I will be taking her side." Brad never even took the opportunity to hear my concerns and issues. It is not about picking sides with your family member; you run a business and should listen to the concerns that customers have. She is clearly incapable of handling the job. The bottom line is they have NO business integrity. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional business. At first I was upset about the situation but thank goodness I dodged this bullet. I can not imagine how their service would be further down the line

This cute bistro serves up ethnic-inspired cuisine made from locally sourced ingredients. Chef Brad Lazarenko opened Culina Mill Creek in 2004, with the idea that it would be a cozy neighbourhood spot to enjoy a good meal – and this is exactly what it has become. They source lamb from Tangle Ride Ranch, pecorino cheese from The Cheesiry and locally pressed canola oil from Mighty Trio – all Alberta companies, all delicious. After your meal, sip a fresh cup of Iconoclast coffee, while enjoying an assortment of macaroons from local bakery DandyLion Confections.

This little gem is tucked away just off of Whyte Ave and, while you may be surprised to see how small it is, the flavour is anything but! The brunch menu changes frequently but you’ll always find a unique take on breakfast cuisines such as cheddar eggs – scrambled eggs with perogies and sausage. Or, maybe you’d like to try the bacon & eggs – a fluffy frittata served with pulled pork. Either way, Culina will leave you feeling full and satisfied.
