These guys came highly recommended, but I've never had such a bad experience with a moving company. We had a very small amount of furniture and no belongings to be moved a short distance. What should have taken 2-3 hours was drawn for 6 hours. The movers we so slow and unhelpful that we had to start loading stuff onto the truck ourselves. Moving a few blocks cost is nearly $600. Never again!
Recently hired '2 Burley Men' to help with a recent move. They were great, even after the landlords of the place I was leaving made it difficult for them to do their job ( by making them park on the street rather than their driveway... ). The guys helped make sure everything was moved into the house where we wanted it and even gave me a recommendation on an ombudsman-type organization to help me register a dispute I had with my previous landlords. It didn't take long for them to move us and didn't cost as much as a previous moving company I had hired years ago (and we had more stuff to move this time!)
damaged furniture, and newly painted walls ceiling. was only shown one dent in wall which I said ok no problem. but not the foot long mark in the newly painted ceiling. House had just finished full reno with new floors paint and drywall. Had several scratches in new flooring. left front door off the previous residence and had to reinstall myself. I had to dissemble and reassemble some furniture that was put together wrong. charged for coffee break time. I called after i noticed the additional damage to some very expensive furniture. chipped corners on table and legs on couch that were definitely not there before. My wife called the owner and was immediately dismissed in a very rude manner. Had much better luck with other movers in town before. please research other reviews as some other have had similar issues. several complaints on BBB . wish I did my research better before hiring.
They weren't "burly" by any means, but the crew was quick, skillful, energetic, and very polite. The driver Rob ran a good show and made every effort to check in and make sure all was going according to plan. I think they were good value and I was pleased with the results of our move from Duncan to Squamish. True story.
I would recommend, especially if you get young Rob as your driver.
