Meet the owner

Tucked away on Mountain Highway, you’ll find one of North Vancouver’s hidden gems: a delightful speciality meat shop called All Natural & Exotic Meats Ltd. Here locals stop in for a friendly chat with their trusted butcher, Dennis Mah, while he prepares all-natural meats cut exactly the way his customers like it. “Dennis loves the meat business, that’s his thing, and meeting the customers face-to-face is a real pleasure,” says Sheree Mah. Prior to the husband-and-wife team taking ownership of this speciality meat shop, Dennis was one of the friendly and familiar faces behind the counter, having joined the team in 2010 after several years in the commercial meat industry.

“Dennis’ friend, the previous owner, asked him to come here and work for him,” explains Sheree. Having always dreamed of running his own business, Dennis couldn’t resist the opportunity to take ownership when it presented itself in 2013. Stepping inside All Natural & Exotic Meats you’ll find Dennis behind the counter cutting meat to his customers likings or in the back crafting their wide variety of "no-crap" sausages.

Having left the corporate world to join her husband on his dream venture, Sheree takes care of all behind-the-scenes activity to make sure everything at All Natural & Exotic Meats is running smoothly. “It’s quite interesting what you learn running your own business. He knows the meat obviously, but operating the business; we totally came in green."
