Quick, efficient service when I rented a vehicle over the weekend. I didn't fill up the car which I was just being lazy, so I paid a higher rate for fuel, but this was explained at the time of picking up the vehicle so no surprises there. Great vehicles, friendly staff and excellent service! Would recommend this company to others.
There was a few scratches under the rear bumper before i rented and me and the employee both saw that. After it was returned there was a few more scratches under the bumper. However, now they are charging me touch up paint damage to fix it (even thought they were some scatches before). I was advised touch up paint would fix it and that I'd be charged for it. Touch up paint is usually $10-$50 so why charge me $200 ?
Renters beware they will go after anything to charge you more. Worst experience.
I was visiting my family during the holidays and i wanted to go skiing to Whistler. Since i don't have snow tires on my car, renting one seems like a good idea. Of course all major companies were sold out and when i requested car with snow tires they almost laughed at me. Thank god that i found pacific car rentals. They were really helpful and i arrange everything over the phone in 10 minutes. I rented 2012 civic and the car had brand new snow tires on. What i like the most is that i could leave my own vehicle in their parking stall for the whole rental period (3 days) and of course free of charge. Thank you pacific car rentals!!!
My family and I were happy with our experiences at Pacific Car Rentals. We flew in from Boston, all five of us for a week long vacation. We were picked up at the airport as a free service to be driven to the rental office. We rented their 8 passenger Chevy Traverse that is actually pretty good on gas. We had a good time in Vancvouver and the customer rep at the office even gave us pretty good tips on the tourist spots to visit. When we flew back to Boston, our daughter realize she left her Kindle in the car and was crying. We contacted Pacific car rentals and they inform us they did find the Kindle and will sent it by courier to us. I do not even think the other national chains do that! We were definitely impressed with their level of great service and the rental rate was very reasonable too! Thank you Pacific Car Rentals for sending back the Kindle to our daughter.
This is a small company with a poor selection of cars.. poor service.. and large excess fees. I would definitely avoid this company but to go with a more reputable one. They charge $30 for insurance and slug you later for $1000 for an excess fee. They also charge per km for any kms over 250.
The van wouldn't start after the hazard lights were left on for 15 minutes. The company offers no after hours support or roadside assistance. They repeatedly implied that I had left the lights on and were very condescending.
They told me that the van was brand new and there was no problem with it. They did not offer any recompense or even an apology for the inconvenience (which was huge- i had to jump start it in the pouring rain and unload the entire van's contents alone because the volunteers that were waiting to help me had to leave).
They only have the one cargo van, and it is different from the description on their website (it doesn't have power windows or locks or anything), and the whole back end of the roof is covered in duct tape due to repeated parking in their parking lot with clearance that is too low for their own van. That's right, when you return the van, you have to drive it, metal roof a-grinding and a-scraping, under four or five large concrete beams. Talk about stressful and unprofessional!
I went to pacific car rentals and rented a car for the weekend to do skiing in whistler. The agent at the rental counter upgraded me for free to a suv. The service was out of this world. I will use this company again. My experience was amazing... Thank you Pacific Car Rentals
