Excellent food. Massive portions so go hungry lol. Friendly staff great service
We were 3rd in line when we came at 10am on a Saturday but wait time was just 5-7 min. Waitress was very accommodating and quick. Food was served in less than 10 min. Portion was ginormous , can actually be shared. Coffee refill was offered all throughout your meal. Very homestyle cooking. Don't expect anything fancy.
I have just been reading over some of these reviews.. "Fancy.. go back to wherever you came from cus Angelique's is Ajax's Jewel of Restaurants! My husband and I frequent this lovely little place on a weekly basis.. The place is a very warm and home spun design setting. I really don't mind the mismatch of dishes and what-not as this makes it that wonderfully warm and cosy feeling that you slept at Grandma's farm, Which gives you have that " back home " feeling that you just got outta bed, to delicious scents of bacon cooking on the grill, to come in to the kitchen to be treated to the best eggs in town! The staff are awesome.. Carrie is one of the most funniest and TRUE caring folks..her service is ALWAYS excellent and cheerful her humor is catching and she's always a delight. Jen is also amazing and always excellent service with a genuine smile. The other staff are always polite hardworking and great service!. Their teamwork is smooth and efficient and they are always a delight to see and chat with. If you're taste is home cooking this it the place to be! What could be better.. it could be larger.. so more customers would be able to enjoy this true jewel of Ajax..
Wow where do I begin????? I have heard so many good things about this restaurant that I decided to get together with some of my girlfriends and head out for a ladies brunch. To our demise it turned out to be one of the worse experiences ever. From the wait outside, to the cleanliness, to all the items hanging over our heads waiting for an accident to happen. To top it all of the dishes were absolutely a mess...... food wise and looks. I don't think one table had any matching dishes. They must have gotten them from a bunch of yard sales. Our party all ordered different dishes, from chicken souvlaki, hamburgers, philly steak sandwich, breakfast..... etc. The chicken souvlaki was the worst I have ever had.....souvlaki? If that was souvlaki than I am the Queen of England. It was just pieces of dried up chicken that was tough as leather that tasted several days old that was just reheated in the microwave. Hamburgers? Wow they were the same.... I swear that their food is pre-cooked a couple of days ahead of time. As for the eggs..... well make sure you stress how you want your eggs because if you ask for over easy..... well lets just say the older man in the kitchen so I have been told is the owner, can't cook eggs if his life depended on it. I know this because one of my girlfriends had to send her eggs back a few times as the yolk was dried out and she could not dip her toast in it like she likes to do. I did go back though a few months later and there was a younger man in the kitchen this day.... Our food was amazing. I asked the waitress who cooked it this day. She went to the kitchen asked them came back and told me it was the cook named Mike. However, I decided to go back one next time and the Mike cook wasn't there and of course our food was disgusting yet again. I was so angry. Our waitress (Kerri) was rude and not very attentive at all. I asked one of the other waitresses where this Mike cook is and she said he was off and would not be back for some time. I am not sure why he is off but all I can say is that I hope he comes back soon or they get him back soon because if not I think there will be alot of very unhappy customers.
worst breakfast of my entire life, i wont be back and neither should anyone else think of going here. The inside was dirty and disgusting, the food was gross. You couldnt pay me to eat here again
Once a week I like to eat breakfast at a restaurant and have tried many in Ajax and Pickering but have become a weekly visitor to Angeliques. Angelique's provides a generous-sized breakfast and coffee at a very reasonable cost. In addition to the usual bacon and eggs etc. one has a choice of home fries or hash browns and baked beans. This end unit of an industrial mall has always had a problem with heating, even though it is a small area it is usually cool in winter so come prepared. If I could make one change I would serve food on warmed plates.
We discovered Angelique's a week ago and have already been back once since our first visit. The first time we went was for Sunday brunch. There was quite a line up and now we know why!! The food is excellent....great portions for the money. The service was great. The place was busy but the staff seemed on top of it all and our server was very friendly and attentive. The bread tastes homemade (if it's not, I'd like to know what brand it is because it's so good). The hashbrowns are perfectly done (the homefries on the second visit were good too but I think I prefer the hashbrowns slightly). Ajax has a tonne of all day breakfast places so the fact that Angelique's is always busy is a testament to the quality of the place.

Mothers Day Breakfast We came here on Mother's Day and I was fully dreading a super long line up but we were very quickly seated and on our way to a wonderful 1st experience at Angelique's. We got our menus and ordered a variety of tempting breakfast dishes. The combo platters have a ridiculously large amount of food for under $10. The food was excellent and the price point was definitely right. The decor is very interesting, our kids enjoyed looking around at everything. As the mom's headed on their way each was given a carnation for Mother's Day, a nice gesture indeed!

The food is great, the service is quick, the portions are huge. What else can you ask for? If there is a line-up it never takes too long to get in and it's worth the wait. The bacon is not the paper thin kind, when you order 3 eggs you often get 4 or 5. Been to a lot of breakfast places, this one always blows the others away!
reading the reviews before coming to the place... i thought i would be good..but.. as i came inside the place didn't look clean and it was hot inside...for the food we bought what we ordered and food wasn't the best it was ok.. the only thing that made it good was the price... its was cheep.. but other than that i wouldn't recommend this restaurant to people.. :(
Once a week we go to Angeliques on our lunchbreak from work it's an amazing place the price is good the portions are filling and the service is friendly and quick. I haven't yet had a bad experience there in 4 years that I have been going. Keep up the great work!
OMG...where do we start...its a fabulous place Carrie, Lana, Peter, Angelique make this place. Service is great, food is hot,coffee if you ask for a fancy cup you get one. Make sure you go hungry as the portions are HUGE. Decor is great they have lots of things to look at and you can even read the paper if you like. And I dare you to order a Western Ommelet. All of our out of town guests have asked how we found the place(word of mouth) and they all rave about it. Our friends come as far as Trenton for breakfast. So I hope your experience is as good as ours and please pass your comments along.
Huge portions, delicious food. Great steak breakfast. Great atmosphere (It's all in one main room, not huge... not great if there're crying kids). Well decorated... lots to look at. Friendly country-style service. Quaint. I've been a few times for breakfast/lunch and enjoyed the meal each time. Never been for dinner.
Their breakfast was excellent!! We drive 30 km to have breakfast. The staff is very friendly and make you feel welcome there. Portions are very large, so if you have a big appetite, this is the place to go. Endless coffee as well. We've also had their lunch specials and can't say enough great things about the food.
We go to Angelique's every weekend, it is a family ritual!! The food is great, portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable! Definitely the best breakfast place for miles around! The service is good, Carrie is a blast and the food always comes out fast!! Lunch here is also great but they do not serve dinner (unfortunately)!!
TALK ABOUT DISSAPOINTING.I THOUGHT THIS PLACE WAS A PLACE TO HAVE A GOOD MEAL. THIS RESTAURANT IS DIRTY.MY SALAD LOOKED AS IF IT HADN'T BEEN WASHED AND MY BOYFRIENDS BREAKFAST WAS AWFUL.I THINK THE ONLY REASON THEY HAVE ANY BISNESS IS BECUASE THEY ARE CHEAP. I WOULD RATHER SPEND A LITTLE MORE FOR GOOD FOOD AND A CLEAN PLACE.
