This place has the friendliest servers ever! They make you feel like you are at home (or better) and the breakfast arrived quickly and hot. Try the french toast...it's great!! :-)
Being new to Elmira , we were pleased to find a quality eatery. The food was great. The service fast.Wait staff was very friendly and polite. The price was in the basement. Out of 5 ppl , only two of us were able to eat all of the food on our plates. We will definately be back. Al
The atmosphere is nice, nice servers...but the food is bland. Eat anywhere else and you know what I mean....whether it was a burger, piece of chicken, or the fries...all tastes like styrofoam.
The cuisine is brutal....unfortunately people still go because there really isn't anything else in Elmira....
Service is fast and friendly. Food is delicious. We go every Sunday. The best place to go. We occasionly go for a lunch. We also, bring our friends as well. That says something!
We live in the relative area, so we have visited the S&B on a few occassions. I would label this a VERY BASIC restaurant with mediocre food. Available is a dated menu with a few extras...your standard fare is available (burgers, fries, o rings, chicken parm, breakfast meal deals...plus the addition of some souvlaki and such). I would not say they have a specialty, I usually have a breakfast (which I figure you can't botch up too badly). I have tried their fried chicken burger....lets just say greasy with a slight "off" favour. The service is good, timely and efficient...overall an o.k. stop for o.k. food.

Slurp and Burp has a good atmosphere with a great window seat of Elmira. Grab a beer during lunch with your meal!

Hands down... nothing beats it... Sip & Bite happens to be one of the greatest restaurants in North America, possibly even the world. All day breakfast...all day AMAZING breakfast... nothing else really needs to be said. All the food on the menu is amazing. Try something you like at another restaurant and try it here and you'll never be disappointed.
I go to this resturant quite regularly and I have never had a meal I did not enjoy. Fast, friendly and family owned. Cant get much better than that! Prices are very reasonable and food is always great.
I absolutley Love the Sip and Bite! it is always so friendly when ever i go and the food is fantastic!! the staff is amazing and always very kind and curtious. will go again deffinitly!
My husband and I live a few streets over and come to the Sip 'n Bite almost every Friday night. He loves the Chicken Parmasean. I love that they have a reasonable number of menu selections that fit my gluten free diet (souvlaki, grilled fish, steak or several other meat & potato dishes). We also like the friendly staff and small town atmosphere.
Portions are always generous (I usually plan on leaving enough leftovers to take for lunch one day), especially if you get one of the 3 daily specials. Chicken Parmasean is almost always on special.
The only time we've had a problem with service was when we decided to go for brunch on Sunday. It was just way too busy, the staff couldn't keep up.
The food quality is very good. It's not gourmet or anything, but fine for a normal meal out. There's a good variety of choices on the menu and breakfast is served all day.
The only thing I'd change about the Sip & Bite is the washrooms - small and a bit worn (but always clean!). Also, don't plan on going with a larger group - there's only one area where they could seat more than 4 at a table.

Today I brought my parents for the first time and they were SO impressed with not only the wonderful SPEEDY service, but the quality, taste and value was amazing! This is everything a small town restaurant should be- warm, inviting, yummy smells coming from the kitchen, great service and GREAT food. What a little hidden gem. My date and I are from out of town but we will definitely be back. Our waitress who I think was named Kate or Katelyn was so sweet and helpful. Truly, a 10 out of 10.
