We knew we needed to put our 20 year old cat down and were referred to Derry Heights. The nurse was so comforting and helped us make it through the process. The vet was a very nice man as well. He checked Ziggy and assured us that we were making the right decision. We thought she was in pain and he could see that she was. I would definitely refer people to them. Thanks for sending Zig over the rainbow bridge 💔💖

    I switched Veteri...

I switched Veterinarians in Milton due to an emergency. My dog was hit by a car and required immediate attention. My regular Vet was closed and I drove over to Derry Heights Animal Clinic as they agreed to see Winston(my dog) right away. He had the required surgery (broken leg) and healed well. All these months later Winston is 100% healthy and we have our regular check ups and shots at this same hospital. Great Vet, knows his stuff. Staff are very good too! All at very reasonable prices...recommended.

    Very good!

Sometimes the doctor is a little hard to understand because of his accent, but he's very good at his job, and isn't one of those vets who suggest random procedures only to make money. The doctor is very good at his job, and the employees there are very kind, understanding, and know what they're doing

    Run far away...

Do not take your pet to this vet He pushes very hard for unnecessary and expensive treatment solely for the purpose of padding his wallet. He does not have the best interest of his clients in mind. Always get a second opinion after seeing him.

    Best Vet In Milton

I have lived in Milton for thirty years and during this time I have owned numerous cats and dogs. I will not trust my pets to anyone else. Dr Lotey is extremely knowledgeable in the field of Veterinarian Science. He is extremely friendly (as are rest of the staff) and best of all he fully explains all possible treatment plans for your pet. I highly recommend Dr Lotey before all others.

Best vet in Milton, by far

We've tried several vets in the past, and Dr. Lotey is by far the best one. Our dog has very unique pet care requirements and he has been extremely accommodating with all of them. His facility has everything, which makes it so much more convenient to go there. He's compassionate, gentle and knowledgeable. He's also very thorough with his examinations and does not over charge for any services he provides. We highly recommend him as a primary care veterinarian.

Derry Heights Animal Hospital Milton, ON

My Fiance and I brought home our puppy 5 months ago. She is a purebred "wiredhaired Terrier". She gets into everything, and I mean everything! Our puppy swallowed a sewing needle so my Fiance took her to Dr. Manjit at Derry Heights Animal Hospital. He examined her right away and located the needle. He spoke with my Fiance about the surgery that would need to be done, and what our options were, cost and recovery time. We opted to have the surgery done, I arrived at the hospital that evening after work to check on her, Dr. Manjit assured me that she would be fine and that he would let me know if anything changed and that I was welcome to come back in the morning to check on her again. I came back in the morning and Dr. Manjit allowed me to visit her in the back room, she seemed to be well rested. He told me that he was worried about her through out the night so he came back to check on her in the middle of the night to ensure that she was ok. Later on that afternoon we were able to take her home. Now she (Daphne) is 6 months old, she has fully recovered and since then we have taken her on hikes, camping in Algonquin Park, she runs as if nothing ever happend. We are so thankful for Dr. manjit knowledge and care along with his super supportive staff at Derry Heights Animal Hospital. If you want to have a Vet that really does care about your pet as much as you do, and is knowledgeable, caring, compassionate, and friendly I would not suggest going anywhere else other than Derry Heights Animal Hospital! I know I can trust them and their experience.

Our first vet for our first pet!!

We are new pet owners, as my husband and I have never had any pets before. We got a shih tzu puppy when he was six weeks old. We had just moved into the area and researched all of the local vets before deciding to go with Dr.Lotey. He was so kind, explained everything that we needed to know about owning and caring for a puppy, and would call us after each visit to check how our little guy was doing. Dr. Lotey's staff was excellent, and always took the time to answer our hundreds of questions. We would never consider going to another vet now. Dr.Lotey cares about all of his patients (animal and human) and is his caring and patient nature have been invaluable to us. We can't say enough nice things about the Derry Heights Animal Hospital, and would encourage that all Milton pet owners go to Dr.Lotey for their pets' medical needs.

    My Goldens and Vets

My wife and I have had purebread Golden Retriver's for the last 18 yrs.(+/-) We have no kids, so these are our babies. We moved to Milton last year, and where in need of a Vet, that would help us with our dogs, and preferably make house calls, as our dogs do not like to travel, especially to the Vets.(Yep, we had a couple of miss-fits, for Goldens, but oh well) Last summer , after only being in Milton for 6 months, we lost (my buddy), to various Golden illness's, that came on over a period of time, all the way from his puppy days. We had 2 diff vets examine him, and we got 2 different solutions, both total opposites from one another As it was we had to put him down at 6 1/2 years, hardest day of my life We now have one left, (the wifes buddy), who is 8 yrs old. He has grown a skin lump on his neck, which started to get bigger, with no hair on it., but now has stopped growing, so it seems. We are watching it closely. My first Vet to see it, was and almost sure (with-out test) skin cancer, as they had see this in 4 or more case's, that looked that exact same, and advised surgery immediately, not yesterday, but today Deciding on a second opinion, I contacted Dr Lotey, since he was close by to where I live. He agreed to come to my house and see my dog, do blood work , and check him out After talking to Dr Lotey, I figured out that he is very smart and well versed, when dealing with dog ailments. (I grew up in Western Canada, and have always delt with vets on the cattle ranches that I worked on) Bottom line is this; my dog is having the time of his life, no slowdowns, the growth is not getting bigger, blood work is fine, Dr Lotey will be looking after all my Goldens in the future. If you need a dog Vet, this guy , you need to check out
