Velvet Spa

My experience was worse with velvet salon. I went for full body waxing, the lady was not enough trained, she broke hair from the top and nothing comes out from the roots.As a result after 2 days new hair coming from thats roots.she made lame excuses and left half of bikini line unclean.At the counter I met a very arrogant lady who ask me $135 of charges, while I called before going for waxing and lady told me we charge 70+tax. Its just waste of time and money to go there.

Today i went for waxing and there was one lady name Mangeet , who was so rude n hurted me so badly . i told her to be gentle while doing waxing but she didnt listen to me and n gave me so much pain. i would highly disrecommend her and she has no care for customer satisfaction. No one should go to her if she is available in the salon. My experince was horrible with her. second the people working here are not professional.

Velvet is a lovely place to go to ; bustling with chatter, music and laughter ! I enjoy the time I spend there, and needless to add, the service is amazing . I have never had a single complaint . In fact , my only wish is that they open a branch closer to my residence ! Neelam, Karamjit, Gulseema, are all like family now .

DO NOT go here. Most of the workers literally do not know a thing about the proper way of waxing. A ladies there ripped off layers of my skin 3 times there on my upper lip and made a huge mark. When I confronted one of them she blamed it on my skin instead of her. Horrible experiences

Please save ur money and don't go here! They make customers feel like liars ..... This isn't back home that people can be treated like we don't know notjofn.

Customer Service is really bad. Went 3 days in a row after having appointment, still couldn't get the service done.

WORST.EXPERIENCE.EVER. I understand most people are there just because of the location. That's the mistake I've made, and of course the bogus coupons. Velvet is expensive and their staff is rude and unprofessional. It takes forever to be noticed by the girl at the front desk because she was busy on her cell phone. The woman who did my waxing did not know how to wax properly and when I told her that the wax she's applying is too hot, she insisted on keeping it hot and told me to deal with it.

Disappointed with Lack of Customer Service

I too created this YellowPage account just to comment. To be honest, I have been going to Velvet Salon & Spa a few times, mostly for eyebrow threading, and about 4 times for hair cuts. The main reason I go is because the coupons offer a good price especially eyebrow threading and the location is close to my home. Going to this place, is hit or miss. Today, I was very disappointed with their lack of customer service. I had to wait to be noticed, and two people were seated, clearly absorbed by their cell phones to even notice a customer. I felt I was an inconvenience to the employee and he honestly didn't seem to put much effort in my hair cut as I was done in 13 minutes. It must have been the fastest hair cut I've ever received. I was really annoyed to be done so fast and I don't even think he put layers on the sides like I asked. Overall, I find when I go for hair cuts, they take off much more than you ask for because they seem to think they know better and just ignore your requests. You are better off taking the coupons to places that match coupons than endure a place that lacks customer service.

Worst Experience Ever

I went here to get my face waxed and I honestly had the worst experience ever. I asked them to be gentle since I have extremely sensitive skin and the lady said dont worry, we'll do it nicely. She did it very roughly and even caused me to bleed. Not only that, but after this experience, I had pimples all over my face and I never scratched them or touched them even and they are still not gone. I regret going there and I recommend everyone else not to go either. The staff is extremely rude and don't put their heart into what they are doing at all. I dont know if all velvet salons are like this but this location has the worst staff ever. DONT GO!

Terrible Customer Service!!!

I've been to Velvet Salon and Spa a couple of times just to do eyebrows & very few of their ladies do it well. The main reason I extremely dislike it is because I have never witnessed them being nice and friendly to any customers and they a lot of attitude. I only went there today after a very long time because of a coupon that I received and honestly it was horrible as always! I am honestly never going back to that place even if I receive coupons & I strongly suggest that no one else should go there too! They're extremely rude, disrespectful and they give you those dirty looks. I know its just a salon but that doesn't mean you don't treat people with kindness and respect. I honestly made this account just to inform people about how horrible their customer service is. So basically for anyone that is even thinking of going there, DON'T, its not worth it (even if you get their coupons) & it'll most probably ruin your day because of the experience you'll have with them!!!

Never making this mistake again

I visited this place only once and had a horrible experience. The lady who did my hair was extremely racist and told me that I do not belong in Canada as I do not dress like Canadians. She kept referring to me as "you people" and insulted my mother big time. I can not explain the stuff she said further because it is quite hurtful up to this day and talking about it just makes me cry more. Furthermore, I asked for layers she did not cut layers and refused to agree that there are no layers in the hair. I consulted another hair specialist (not from velvet spa) that evening and she agreed there were no layers what so ever in my hair, that other hair specialist then gave me layers free of charge. I was extremely disappointed by the kind of customer harassment I faced in that spa and would never make the mistake of entering it again, the memory has left me and my mother scarred for the rest of our lives.
