Remingtons Of Niagara

Four of us dined there on Tuesday March 19th and were happy with the meals with one exception, as there were 4 of us, we ordered 2 appetizers ( fried mushrooms and the bruchetta ) We were very surprised to only receive 2 ( thats TWO ONLY ) mushrooms for $12. ! and 3 pieces of bruchetta for another $11. ! -- we would return here but would never order appetizers here again and will warn our friends. - loved the singing waiters

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Remingtons. Both my wife and I had the Rib-eye beef (Which was recommended by our bus driver) and it was done to perfection. My wife had the Canadian Chill drink , and we will definitely have that again. The singing waiter was excellent.

We had the package from the hotel and had dinner here, The food was awesome, 2 servers were very polite and professional. No complaints at all , We will return again in the future, Thanks for a great experience

Disappointed

We visited the restaurant in the evening time. Lack of lighting was quite uncomfortable. We ordered two tails of lobsters with mashed potato. Lobsters were tough, one lobster was burnt, potato was not mashed properly (plenty of big pieces). The meal was tasteless. We asked restaurant to advice vine for seafood and suggestion was not good at all. When we extended our disappointment to the waiter and expected appropriate reaction, the guy just demonstrated his unhappiness because he was loosing tips. At that, we paid $120 for very plain meal (no starters, no salads and no dessert).

Great Place for Fine Dining

Started off with a warm bun and butter. Followed by a great tasting and fresh garden salad. My lovely girlfriend ordered salmon with mashed potatoes and veggies. She described it as tender and full of flavour. I ordered the prime rib with mashed potatoes and veggies. It was delicious and cooked to perfection. The veggies were very good. And the mashed potatoes...oooooh those mashed potatoes...mmmm...tasty tasty. We finished our meal off with a delightful piece of chocolate fudge cake. And the service you ask? Outstanding! I highly recommend this place.

Never Again!

My wife and I went there for our 25th Anniversary (part of hotel package). Worst meal ever. My wife ordered the Steak (and added lobster for extra charge). I ordered the Prime Rib. Her lobster was ok (can't really mess that up). But, her steak was bland and a bit tough. Typically, prime rib is suppose to melt in your mouth. Oh my gosh, my piece must have come from rump of an old ox. It was SO tough, it took a LOT of strokes with my steak knife to get through. Yes. It is our fault for not sending it back. But, after all the hype, I figured we shouldn't be wrong. Other than the friendly waitress, there is NOTHING we'd go back for. Never returning.

Amazing

I ate there for my birthday just this past week. And I was alittle iffy because of the location of the restaurant being in a tourist area. Which usually for a locale means, high prices low quality and service. But I was very surprised when our server was so attentive, informative and funny! The restaurant itself was very classy and with great decor. I had won this meal in a package at a Stag'n'Doe. It included a night at a hotel and dinner for 2 at Remingtons. So although I didnt pay anything. The bill would have come out at $62 for 2 people. Which included 2 appetizers, 2 large meals ( new york strip, and prime rib) and dessert. All of which were amazing! The service was fast even though they were somewhat busy. But the most important part, obviously is the food. I had the prime rib while my boyfriend had the new york strip. And i have to say, i would die for another plate of that prime rib right now. It was amazing. My boyfriend enjoyed his steak just as much and we were both very satisfied overall. I say its a must try for a good classy steak house.
