This restaurant had a very pleasant atmosphere. The food portions were average and the food itself was good. This is a great restaurant to go for the price. Some of the nearby restaurants are very steep in price and this is a great alternative. It is just 1 minute from the St. Jacobs' downtown area and seats up to 150 people.

The dining room was warm and cozy. We ordered the kids meals first, the spaghetti was a hit. The soup my wife ordered was good, like from scratch. The mains arrived, mostly excellent except the vegetables were limp. The service was just OK. we ordered dessert a nice homemade coconut cream pie for me and an earth shatteringly good blueberry torte(figures although I did get a taste)
I had eaten there a year ago and had the fish and chips...I thought I would try it again. This time the fish was hardly visible and it was like a deep fried pancake. One of my companions also order the same meal and hers was fine. I did not eat my meal and the server took away a whole plate. When the server asked my companions how their meals were there were no complaints. I then took the opportunity to let her know that my meal was not edible. SHE suggested that she would talk to the manager to see if something could be done. The message that was passed along from the manager was, it is the same person dipping the fish so there was nothing to be done.The rudeness of the message only made me want to speak to the manager in person. After voicing my concern, her reply basically was that it was a special of the day and that is to be expected!!! When I asked her if it was okay to serve substandard food to patrons she walked away. She appeared that she did not care. This was not about receiving money...I was a guest... just a simple want to be treated with courtesy. As I read the other comments about the manager, I thoroughly understand.
Nice climate and quick seating. The food was ready in a reasonable amount of time and tasted good, the service was good (the waitress made sure everything was O.K.)as well. Will go back soon.
This place is great, very busy on weekend breakfasts but still quick efficient service. Food is always served hot here which seems to be a luxury these days.The prices are incredible for the amount of food that you get. (pancake combo:2eggs, 2 pancakes, bacon, homefries and toast for around 7bucks!!) Give the woman at the door a break, she is your typical, over worked, old school, Greek lady. She just adds to the charm of this great establishment.
