    Sandwiches!

Leurs sandwiches sont délicieux et les cafés excellents. La terrasse est magnifique quand la température nous permet de sortir sous le soleil. Portions énormes, ingrédients de qualités et bons mélanges de saveurs.

Take a bite out of these crazy good sandwiches in Montreal

Part of a block that was set for demolition in the mid-1970s, Café Santropol began with a simple idea of offering modest fare such as salads, soups and sandwiches, though it eventually grew into an eclectic café. There's the house special: Santropol, which combines cream and blue cheese with meat and veggies. Up the ante with the Pepper Island Pesto, which has cream cheese and Café Santropol's own hot pepper jelly, along with crunchy cucumbers and ham.

The café located on St-Urbain Street offers several original sandwiches (marinated tofu, carrot vegelox, etc.), soups, healthy salads and homemade chili.

This is one of the oldest cafés in Montreal. Opened in 1976, Café Santropol has served dozens, even hundreds, of daily soups, salads and sandwiches, but the restaurant has much more to offer - they’re actually a city institution. You'll find enough to eat here without worrying about the calories because everything is fresh and tasty. Note that multiple vegan options are offered.
