The concept of Ateliers & Saveurs started by the business trio of Eric and Fanny Gauthier and Arnaud Ferrand was born in Montreal in 2008. In 2012, a location opened in Quebec City. Antoine Salvail-Leroux, an involved director who became a co-owner, energetically reconstructed the progress made by the restaurant's founders.
"I started my career in restaurants at the age of 11," he says, as he was inspired when he was very young. "I started as a diver, then a clerk and a cook's assistant." Originally from Sherbrooke, he sailed between the city and the capital to earn the diplomas and work experience that made him a well-honed professional. It was during his studies as a sommelier in Quebec City that he fell in love with the city, both for its good food and its lifestyle.
When the founders of Ateliers & Saveurs asked him to join the team, Antoine knew he had found a project that suited him well. "It was a dream opportunity for a food lover, because it's about sharing my passion."
