At your service since 1898, Delisle Monuments Inc. has, for more than 100 years, three generations of tailors and sculptors who have developed over the decades a cutting-edge technique combining technology and artistic work. Delisle Monuments offers thousands of models of monuments. Many people wonder how burial monuments are engraved. Technique combines art with technology. Once all handmade, designs and lettering are now designed using state-of-the-art software.
Once the personalized assembly is complete, it is transferred to a die-cutter faithfully reproducing each line and each character made by the designer of the drawing and lettering.
The stencil is then applied and glued carefully by the letterter. Each letter is gently removed manually using an x-acto.
Protecting and masking with adhesive tape and stencil the remaining parts of the monument so as not to damage them with sandblasting is a crucial step in professional work.
The artist must place on a mask and a protective hood in order to be ready to carry out his engraving work and to do so safely.more...See more text
