There are lineups at dinner time with hungry duos and foursomes forming a line that snakes all the way to the cases of steaming ducks, chickens and succulent pigs where you can get fantastic BBQ takeout. I once took a couple of pounds of BBQ pork to a small birthday party, and it was all gone by the time my spouse parked the car. This restaurant provides excellent food at reasonable prices if you order the dinner for 4, or 6, or however many there are in your party. The menu is fixed, but flexible in the choice of appetizers. The meal begins with broth, and appetizers but ends up with so many different dishes that the table groans. The food is fresh and dellcious homestyle Cantonese cooking. We've always wanted to try this place out, so we finally did! We reserved a table for two online for 630, but we didn't end up getting there until just before 7. The maitre'd read our special instructions that was sent with our online reservation and seated us in a quiet corner at a bigger booth for just the two of us. Not that the place was loud or overly busy, but it was great that we were seated farther away from the rest of the crowds that were there and we were not forgotten about! Since it was our first time there, our server showed us the menu and gave her suggestions. Some sounded tempting but we decided to go with our own choices. We both got steaks and got the Caesar salads to start. We also got bread with sweet butter and stuffed mushrooms. We started off with Caesar salad and bread served. Then our stuffed mushrooms. Then came our steaks. One done medium the other done medium well. They were both beautifully cooked and we both enjoyed our loaded potatoes as well! Since we were there to celebrate, our server took care of us with a rich dessert - double chocolate brownie! We enjoyed every part of our meal! The bread was a 7 grain bread, crisp on the outside, warm and light on the inside! The Caesar salad had a very nice garlic taste with a tiny kick. The steaks melted in your mouth and was easy to devour. The loaded potato (minus the chives) was nice and fluffy with lots of sour cream, cheese and bacon! And the dessert was an excellent addition! We both got drinks from the bar as well throughout our meal - they were mixed decently, but felt it was a little too light on the alcohol. All in all, our server was great, and never forgot about us, the maitre'd was excellent for our request. And we had a great first experience here. We'll definitely go again! Might I even say that its better than their competition? I believe so, but we'll have to see if they are just as great the second time around ;) Read more

I'd heard about this place from several people I knew, but it was never a place that interested me. I think a big part of that was the location, in that silly little mall/office building. We went there to celebrate my fathers birthday, and my first impression was that it was nice, but a little dark. In fact my mother had to step out into the "mall" area just to read her menu. I ordered the shepherds pie (it was the cheapest on the menu and I'm not a big meat eater), as did my boyfriend. My mom ordered the chicken fried steak and my dad had the porterhouse. It took over an hour to get our food, the waitress claimed that the steak had to have some special magical way of cooking and that's why it took so long. The small of smoke and fire extinguisher told another story. When our food arrived I thought "Really? That's it?". The portion seemed so small, and the side salad was laughable. However once I started eating I really enjoyed the meal, as did my family, and in the end I wasn't even able to finish it. Then we all got free desert, some sort of cheesecake thing that was pure awesomeness. So in the end, we all really enjoyed our meals and would return again. Hopefully with a shorter wait though. This place has the BEST Tzatziki sauce ever, it is SO good. I always get extra servings and put it on everything, because it tastes amazing with all the flavours. My friend and I usually get the same thing and share. Their portions are reasonable sizes for the prices they offer. I love that they come with rice and salad :) The server is also friendly and is always smiling eventhough he is conservative. Their interior reflects warm tones and even the patio is a good place to eat. Try the stuffed eggplant, it is absolutely delicious! I know there were issues with this place but over the last month management seem to have made a real effort to get things sorted out with a new bar person and new staff and a manager that now walks the floor to make sure everything is running smoothly. Today we were served by Erika (2nd day on the job). She took the order and we were delivered exactly as requested - food piping hot, extra sauces the full works.
