Amazing atmosphere, super friendly people. We moved into the East York area about 2 years ago and we always go there for a fun time. The food is always fresh nothing frozen, the beer is always cold and most important Tom (The bartender) is always super nice pouring liquors. Great family run business and if your having a bad day Tom will tell you jokes or he will find a way to put a smile on your face :) :)

Once the food had arrived the eggs and omelette were perfect the bacon wasnt too cooked or under cooked. Everything was made just perfect. I come here every couple of weeks when I'm in the area, a good hearty breakfast served promptly and cheerfully. Can't ask for much more than that! Parking is the only drawback, the lot is quite small and if the snow is piled up it can be a tight squeeze, that's why I rated it an 8 overall. There's a convenience store a couple of doors down where you can buy a newspaper to read with your meal, always a plus for me.

Made with fresh, local ingredients, cooked to order.
You can upgrade to premium toppings like goat cheese and portobello mushrooms, melts in your mouth.
The portions are huge definitely a man sized burger. Fries and onion rings too.
I have never seen such huge onion rings before. Beer battered and fantastic.
Price, very reasonable for the sizes you get. I think it was $4.50 a burger to make it a combo it was $6.50.
You pay more at the other “big chain” burger places in town and still feel hungry afterwards.

I have been coming here since 2003/2004. Three different owners since than but they still seem to get our favorite dish right the chicken steak with the rice. Mmmmm, nicely grilled juicy chicken breast, lots of flavor and tasty. I agree with the previous reviewer that the taste changes from time to time, different cooks, but 7/10 times u will get a great meal. We come here b/c it's a great option when we need a quick but good meal. I would just recommend that one dish. Most of the time we would do take out, and the best part is that our 4 year old daughter loves their chicken. Don't be fooled by the looks!
