I stop here ocasionaly when I take my bike following the hydro-line bicycle path. Every time I do stop here, I don't regret it at all!! The food is great, the servers are very patient and the atmosphere has a very compfortable local feel. I suggest ordering the McWindmill when you go there.

This is a hidden gem over near the airport on Matheson. A friend of mine works in the area and he suggested it for a Saturday night dinner. We had a great time as the food was hot, fresh, and tasted great, plus the service was very professional. I like places where they have a pride of ownership and this is one where the owners are active in the business, the chef came from the kitchen to check on our meal, and they genuinely appreciated our business. Wow...we went again after the TV show "Restaurant Makeover" re-did the restaurant....always loved the food and the cafeteria style service...although now they do offer table serve !! Thank goodness that the show didn't change up the menu....with the fresh bread daily and healthy choices....we love this place...One of my friends tried the new gourmet burgers and it was in her words FANTASTIC...the sweet potato fries that it was served with are the best we have tasted......the inside is now "french country" which is very comfortable....no wonder this place has been in business over 20 years !! Had the Jacs sub for dinner last night. The Jalapeno cheese bread is Fantastic, there was lots of meat and tasted very fresh. Toppings and sauces were all free and they have a grill which I prefer over just toasting. Great staff and the new owner is very friendly. Will be back again to try the shack.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here and took a chance trying this restaurant for the first time. We were pleasantly suprised and absoloutely loved the experience. We ordered the Peppercorn Shrimp appetizer and the Roesti with Smolked Salmon. Delicious and plenty to share. We then ordered the Shrimp Pasta and the Hunter Schnitzel. The food is really outstanding!! best schnitzel I've ever had!! Super value. The service was extremely professional and very attentive and pleasant. At the end we ordered the Creme Brule and what an excellent finishing touch to a great meal. The ambiance in the restaurant is very inviting and romantic. I am so happy that we have found a new favourite restaurant that we love!!

Found your restaurant online when searching for good places to eat in oakville. We stopped in for lunch just after 1 p.m. saturday. while there was a bit of a line,mit moved quickly and we were soon seated. We had the pear and butternut squash soup, a grilled chicken sandwich and blackened salamon salad. all of the food was exceptional! Great catering for large parties, just make sure you call at least 24 hours ahead. We always get the Chicken dinner Plate and Steak dinner Plates served Buffet Style. And for the few die-hards, we'll get a couple orders of Chicken Fingers, fries and onion rings.
Otherwise, if you do order one Dinner plate....yes it will last you two lunches. Or one lunch and you fall asleep afterwards as there is so much food !
