I have always wanted to learn how to dance. With the gentle push of a Friend who recommended Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Woodbrigde, I decided to stop making excuses. I was told that if I wanted a place where I could feel confident and learn to lead in my life, then I came to the right place. My career is one where I spend long hours sitting at the computer. Thus, socializing and public speaking were not my forte, but dancing instruction helped me gain the skills I needed to use the talents I have and apply myself in a more directive management environment. Through the patience of my teachers and the wonderful people I have met, I have had the opportunity to develop rhythm and learn non-verbal cues of communication to help me lead and dance with esteem. Pushing myself to go outside my comfort zone and socialize during group experience has had a phenomenal impact on my career and life! I smile more as I move around more rhythmically, I participate more confidently in social environments and I even stand taller. Physically, I feel more vibrant and emotionally I am more stable and confident in myself!! Thank-you to the wonderful staff and people who participate every week in such a healthy and engaging environment. Opportunities are endless if you have the desire, give yourself the tools you need for life. As their motto says "Walk-in and Dance out!!" I started dancing at Andras Ballroom Academy in February 2015 with the hope of improving my dancing. Since then I feel my dancing has improved immensely thanks to the excellent instruction provided by Andras and Viara. They are always professional, patient and very helpful in demonstrating the steps and technique for each dance. I also take private classes with Andras and find that his expertise in teaching is excellent! The dance instruction at Andras Ballroom Academy is by far the best! Read more
