My wife and I have a sweet tooth and we've been to quite a few of those dessert places. Hands down, Ganache is the best around. It's a little bit pricey (about $6 for an individual pastry), but they're sooo good that we don't mind paying a little extra for excellent quality in return. We've tried many of their pastries, and some standouts for us are: Chocolat-Caramel for those with a sweet tooth; I consider this one a "classic" in my book with its slightly crunchy crust and layer of caramel covering the dark chocolate mousse with raspberry filling. Yum! The "Concorde Praliné" is great, too. If you prefer "not too sweet", the "Mango-Chocolat" pastry is also very good. Ganache Patisserie is definitely one of the gems of Yaletown! Read more

You won't leave here hungry. At 945am on a Sunday we waited 45 minutes for a table. It was worth it. Good selection, good service and very good food. I couldn't help but stare at the sizable portions that went buy. My friend had the 3 little pigs, she loves corn dogs and I had their green eggs and ham on large biscuit. I can't say my dish looked appetizing as my eggs were scrambled with pesto but it was very good and filling and I couldn't finish. Cool atmosphere. Read more

Awesome Asian fusion brunch with Filipino and Vietnamese influences. It was so good that I did not even notice my potato hash had no meat! It was comprised of a unique combo of ingredients including chick peas,l and sweet potato. I tried a bite of the breakfast Vietnamese bun and that was tasty too. There are 8 seats in the patio, not the best view as you see the viaduct but when it is sunny and warm it was just right. The service was friendly and excellent. Several spritzers available too. The Vancouver Aquarium's location can't be beat and neither can the experience they offer. We have been members for the last 4 years and despite dozens of trips we always see something new on every single trip. With a variety of themed areas and literally thousands of sea creatures to see, the Vancouver Aquarium is a great way to while away an afternoon. Make sure you check out the Dolphin show and the shark tank is a great place to watch the sharks and wonder why they don't eat the fish in the tank with them. I also highly recommend the membership option since two visits pays for the membership and then every other visit in that year is basically free. We've been known to go to the aquarium for an hour just because we needed to kill a bit of time...and what a great way to do so! Also of special note are the birthday parties they offer for kids. A great deal, especially for members, and the best part is getting to go behind the scenes with your knowledgeable tour guide. Check out the Vancouver Aquarium and watch the delight in your family's faces. Read more
