This used to be one my main restaurants to eat but lately ive been trying some new places. Decided to go back yesterday and was reminded how good this place was! Got the half jerk chicken meal for take-out and was very pleased. A mountain of rice and beans completely covered on top with very tasty chicken. What a treat we had in Port Perry after a couple of hours out on the water. The main dining room was full so we were shown a table in a private room which we had all to ourselves. Both the service and the food was excellent. The owner, Christie, was friendly and down to earth making us feel very welcome. A couple of us had food restrictions which were easily accommodated. I have to admit that I am a bit biased because I live within walking distance of this venue. One thing that most reviews on here have not mentioned about Port Perry Thai is that they have a great lunch menu! There's something like 10 different choices, each with hot & sour soup and spring roll, for $7.95! When I worked in Port Perry I used to go here at least once a week, the food is absolutely awesome. The one complaint I would have is that they play classical music, which in itself isn't so bad, but they keep the volume at the lowest possible level! Weird. Read more
