Every one of the staff members were very courteous and attentive. My daughter had her newborn son strapped to her chest in a wrap and many staff members stopped by to see our 6 week old grandson. The manager on duty even stopped to ask how everything was. The food and service was wonderful. The food never fails to please. We also ordered takeout recently with chicken parm meal for 4. We were able to feed 5 adults and still have some leftovers for lunch. Excellent value!Read more

I took a date there for date night. A nice, large booth was offered to us, very romantic and appealing.
The food was great in my opinion. Portions were very generous, and the flavour was more of a Canadianized Italian than authentic style. We both enjoyed or meal and the real treat came at dessert with the Chocolate Pizza - amazing and worth going again so I can introduce another to this delicacy.
The wine list was surprisingly diverse, a welcome treat. Our server treated us well. Based on my experience I would return to try it out again.Read more

I went to Niagara Falls with my two sisters for an outlet shopping trip when we stumbled across Taco N Tequila restaurant after the local Red Lobster failed to impress us. I am not sure exactly what drew us into this strange bright yellow building, maybe that we wanted to try something different, and that tequila was in the title. Walking into the door we were welcomed by the Mexican owner and bartender, who also ended up serving us. The weather was not so warm, but there was a lot of sun coming through the front entrance so we sat there. The restaurant, with all of its sun and Mexican decorations, did actually feel almost like a nice resort vacation away from chilly Canadian weather. We all shared one of their special , which was quite the sight in its large fancy glass, and it tasted good too. A $25.00 lunch for 2 special was on which included one appetizer and two entrees. We shared the Guacamole and chips appetizer, and I had the Mexican tacos entree. Even with the third meal and a few Dos Equis our bill was not expensive by today’s standards. After eating a tasty heavy lunch (including a lot of beans), and having a few drinks, we were feeling happy, and even had a good chat with our server. Overall, Taco N Tequila was a recommendable place. It was clean, had friendly staff, tasty food, and a good atmosphere.Read more

We went there for nice dinner during winterlisious 2012.
Overall restaurant is very busy but cozy and romantic. Our server was running around in hurry and as a result during entire evening mixed up who ordered what, since it was only two of us it was ok to switch.
Food Overall was very good: My appetizer was yumm and so is my the other person, soft deep fried calamari was excellent. Chicken skewers were moist and sauce was perfectly spicy.
For the main dish disappointment arrived, all main dishes come with rice and stir fry. Stir fry was the WORST I have ever tried, super hard giant pieces of cabbage+ raw zucchini made it unpleasant both on taste and texture. Main dish of red curry was excellent and rice was perfectly done. Basil beef was amazing (properly the softest piece of beef I have ever tried in my life).
Desserts were good too my mango-chocolate mousse cake was heavenly and banana fritter had amazing crunchy but sweet coating on it .Read more

Green Acres is a family tradition for the last ten years. Each Good Friday and a handful of times throughout the year we travel from Niagara Falls, Ontario to Fort Erie for the sole purpose of eating their fish and chips. The service is always fantastic and the food reasonably priced and excellent. We'll be visiting again this Good Friday and my stomach is already grumbling. My only complaint is that the fish and chips is so good, I never order anything else on the menu. Never-the-less, other family members have and swear by the taste and massive portions.Read more

Best rib steak ever. Cooked to perfection, but what do you expect at $55 a pop?Allover a good experience. Asked the waiter what was meant by filet-mignon on the bone? He mumbled ( as you should when in doubt) and I never got an intelligent answer. There's tenderloin on the menu as wll and then filet mignon which is tenderloin as well.I spent 50+years in the meat biz, removed thousands of tenderloins but never heard of 'on the bone'...a mystery!Read more
Faced with an 8 page menu, exhaustive in its range of enticing descriptions of Japanese and Korean food, I opted to sample the former side by having soup, salad and appetizers (3 as it turned out). I love miso soup and have had incarnations of it in many places in Canada and abroad but this broth was simply fabulous in the depth and complexity of what is often a flat, watery introduction to a meal. The poky salad (fresh tuna, julienned seaweed, etc.) was vibrant, flavourful and spicy as advertised.
I started my appetizer foray with mandu yaki (small homemade dumplings with a combo of 8 different ingredients) and tako yaki (fried minced octopus balls with a unagi and katsu sauce on the side). Can you say FABULOUS?. Having washed it all down with warm sake, I rested for a while and then tackled a tempura dish: soft shelled crab (4 pieces) with a ponzu sauce. Cheer again.
Service was attentive and friendly and relaxed especially when the young lady and John, the son of the owner realized that I wasn't in a hurry. (I was honoured with a tempura zucchini sample from the owner's garden (in the back he said when I mentioned that he had tomatoes growing in the front). This is simply wonderful food, presented with smiles and pride by people who love doing what they do.
I can't wait to return and try some deeply Korean dishes of which there is an abundance on that wide-ranging menu.Read more

I was wary to visit this place from the previous reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised! They've done renovations as well as changed their menu. It has been for the better!
Our server, George, although new to the restaurant (starting one week prior) was very knowledgeable. I ask as many questions as possible, and I'm glad he could answer most, others he would go to the kitchen to ask any he did not know. One important question was where they source their beef, I was told it is all Ontario beef which pleased me.
The Beef Carpaccio was nice, as well as the Beef Wellington. Not the most traditional way to create the dish, but it was still tasty. The pork was nice, although the apple-bacon compote may have been a bit over-the-top on bacon. The Lamb chop was crusted nicely and was done VERY evenly.
The dessert was something else. Homemade marshmallows, homemade graham cookies, caramel sauce, and milk chocolate sauce. The marshmallows were on sticks and you have your own campfire that comes along with it. Very novel, very exciting, and the smell of the fire was very close to a campfire.
All in all, a good visit.Read more

Have been a regular at Ami for a couple years now and let me tell you they have yet to let me down. We usually order nigiri sushi and rolls. The nigiri is the best you will find in Oakville hands down. The piece of fish you get is twice the size of the rice making it a very generous portion. I have eaten at at least 10 other sushi joints in town and prefer Ami nigiri any day. The staff is amazing and they even deliver.
