Today was my first visit to Hockey Sushi. I was more than impressed! The service was FAST, and they food was amazing. So much variety. The concept of this buffet so so unique, but it makes so much sense! Everyone can get what they want, with little to now waste, and no contamination from other guests. Dropped in for lunch this week and was very pleasantly surprised to find this calibre of Japanese food in Peterborough. Excellent food. Very authentic. So much so it helps to be familiar with Japanese food before ordering (staff speak very little English). Fixed price for as much as you want on the menu. However a note on menu says you will be charged for what you don't eat. I thought that was an inspired way to prevent the waste usually associated with all you can eat restaurants. A little pricy but you certainly get your money's worth. Looking forward to a return visit for dinner. Read more

I have a permanent disability, and I came to this restaurant to celebrate my grandma’s 80th birthday. Our waitress was named Sarah and she provided our table with excellent service. She took all our orders properly, and had the food served so quick, considering we were a larger group. My 3 children were quite loud, and yet our server was extremely patient and tolerant of my noisy kids. Most waitresses would never be so tolerant. Dessert was very good also. We had a very good time. Even if you are not into sushi, it is worth a trip to Kakemono! My boyfriend LOVES sushi and although I don't mind it, it is not my favourite meal in the world. However, I love Teriyaki and the Teriyaki dishes on Kakemono's all you can eat menu are wonderful. The prices are reasonable when compared to the price you may for most all-you-can-eat places and the food was great. We will be going back in the near future! Read more
