The group all voted they would go back again! Thank you so much! Our travel date was on 9/24/11 and arrived around 6:15pm for dinner. We had the best dining experience at lunch today. We spent the last two days in the hospital so we were in need of a good lunch. Stacey was phenomenal!!! It was pretty busy but she looked after us like were only patrons. She was very efficient and friendly. You can tell she enjoys her job as I watched smiling and laughing with everyone she was waiting on. She suggested the new cauliflower wings and they were to die for. My husband and I dined at La Casa on Saturday night. We started with Mussels for appetizer - delicious...I wanted to drink the sauce it was so good. We also shared a Ceasar Salad. The dressing was very nice, perhaps a bit too much garlic (a little too overwhelming). Still tasty though. I ordered lobster pasta, all I can say is DELICIOUS! So tasty. I brought some home and was looking forward to eating it again the next day for lunch. My husband ordered beef tenderloin. Again, delicious! Tender, perfectly cooked and tasty. The waiter was very professional and friendly. We had a great time and a fantastic meal. No wonder La Casa is still one of the best restaurant's in London. It's so nice to go out for dinner and receive a great meal. The meals are not pretentious or overpriced (unlike other London restaurants in the downtown area). The food is simply delicious. My husband and I frequently visit for our Friday night date nights and have never had a substandard meal or service experience. We love the fact that we can have a great meal and a couple of drinks at an affordable price without standing in line. If you like to pay inflated prices for cookie cutter microwaved meals and stand in line for the pleasure, this is not the place for you. The staff has been nothing short of pleasant and accomodating at every visit and make it their business to try to remember their customers. Swiss Chalet, is also known for its incredible tender grilled ribs, also served with sides of fresh cut fries, that makes Chalets food so delicious. Every Swiss Chalet location has a family orientated atmosphere. The setting consists of casual tables and booth seating as many as twelve customers, comfortable chairs and simple artwork covers the walls. We were lucky enough to be placed beside a warm brick fireplace, on a cold winter afternoon. As we walked in, we were instantly greeted by the host at Swiss Chalet on Dundas Street in Cambridge, Ontario. He led us to our booth within minutes, as the waitress made her way to our table. The energy around us from the staff, customers and store were welcoming, warm, and crucial to how comfortable, and suitable our lunch was going to be. The rotisserie chicken club wrap with fries, along with the rotisserie quarter chicken meal with whipped potatoes was ordered during our visit, with excellent service and time management. The server was friendly, engaged in conversation and interest of what we were ordering and how satisfied we were with our Swiss Chalet experience. Our overall experience at Swiss Chalet, the Cambridge location was delightful. I have been to this place now at least 15 times over the past year and not once have I been disappointed. My son loves the selection of pastas, and my husband could have an affair with their ribs! Service is fast and efficient, I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes to receive each course. I work in customer service, so I understand that things don't always go as planned. It is how an establishment deals with their mistakes that really shows how good they are , in my humble opinion. We go to Swiss Chalet all the time, the food is always hot and delicious and up to the Swiss Chalet Standard, the service is usually pretty good, quick for sure and the restaurant smells good and is clean. We often order take out from this location, and we have had a few problems, orders not being filled correctly, no gravy for the poutine, little things like that. One time we ordered and they called back 30 minutes later to tell us there was a snow storm and the delivery person went home! Needless to say I complained. I got a personal response from the Manager appologizing for our bad experience and comping us for two 1/4 chicken dinners! WOW, I thought that was just great. I get that mistakes are made, but I have never had anyone take responsibility and compensate me so quickly and politely! Since then we have ordered a few times and we haven't had anymore problems.
