I live in Fonthill and can walk to the Lazy Loon! One of my favourite restaurants for a quick meal after a long day. Enough variety on the menu to satisfy everyone and the service is usually top notch! If there are any issues, you can always speak to a floor manager and get it resolved. Was in for a visit a couple of weeks ago to order a take out of their homemade pizza and was pleasantly surprised at the new addition to the bar and decor of the pub. I haven't been in the trap in about 6 months so it was refreshing to see some changes positive in nature. They have added more draught taps for more beers choices and have replaced all the chairs with a more modern clean look. The kitchen is still as good and the beer is always cold. Read more

This place is hit and miss. Depending on what day it is will be the final judgement. A lot of kids visit this bar late at night and during Wednesday when they have the 12 for 12 draft special on. The place is packed and generally fights break out. Any other time during the week is a good time to be there. The beer is always cold and the food is quite good. The Pizza is fantastic along with the Nacho platter. The price is expensive but you do get good portions. Every time I step into the place, there is new staff hired. Read more

My husband and I are so lucky there is a restaurant in Fonthill of the calibre of Zest. It is as good as a "Toronto" fine dining. The service is wonderful from the time you enter the front door, and until you leave. There have been times I've been thrilled with the menu, and other times not so much, but still be able to find something that pleased me well. My only criticism, people who have Celiac disease really get left sitting by the curb. Although at Zest they make an effort for those of us who need a gluten free dinner, other steps could be taken. If there are appetizers that are served with bread, rice crackers could be substituted for gluten free diners. Also, there is a wonderful gluten free bakery in Chipawa, that makes wonder bread and glutten free cakes.They even deliver to Fonthill. I just wish more restaurants would educate themselves in gluten free dining. It's not rocket science, and more people by the day are being diagnosed. When my husband and I want to celebrate, we go to Zest. I'm thinking of holding our 25th Anniversary Party at Zest, and inviting 30 of our friends. I know, Zest would not let us down. Read more

Lunch on the patio on a perfect summer day. Food was ok, chardonnay was served in the tiniest stemless red wine glasses - maybe four oz serving for $9 - a little pricey. Complimentary hummus and crackers served as an appy - crackers were a little stale and very crunchy!! Meatloaf was served in a soup bowl filled with mashed potatoes. The meat had fatty chunks and the portion was on the small side, but ok. Pizza was cut into four pieces served on a cutting board. Limited toppings and a little on the dry side - could have used more sauce. The day was a little windy and the arugula on top of the pizza flew away. The atmosphere was great! Beautiful view and lovely area - now if the food was as good as the view, this place would be dynamite! Read more
