I visit this place every week at least once. The food is great. For a chinese place the prices are considered to be mid to high, however, the quality and service make up for it. But if you are used to eating at western family type restaurants, like baton rouge, alice fuzili, jack astors, etc. This place is a real bargain. Their dim sum is great too, one of the best finds in Richmond Hill. Most of the bargain chinese restaurants tend to offer food that are on the rustic side. This is refined cantonese dining, but this aspect may be lost on many westerners who are used to the China Town grub, and may not have the same discerning palate. Nonetheless, eating there will definitely improve your palate, and you will wonder how a place like the keg, shoeless joe and other similar places can charge $30 per person for the food they serve, and still be considered to be moderately priced. The family favorite! We go to the Ajax location mostly. Fantastic food. We never order the all-you-can-eat as the lunch 2 roll special is so big, you can hardly get through it, plus it's so reasonable at $6.95. We eat there once a week and order in often. We avoid ordering in any hot food as it always arrives stone cold. You just can't re-warm dumplings. Even the raw fish haters in the family find something delicious on the menu. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Service is fast and friendly. The only down side is, my husband always talks in a Japanese accent when we go....and does the same at any ethnic restaurant that we visit. He can't seem to help himself....it's very embarrassing. This is a great Japanese restaurant, been there a couple of times and just two days ago brought two of my Australian friends to try the Tappenaki lunch.
