We’ve been going to this restaurant for years. The quality and quality of the food is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. It is a family oriented restaurant where kids are welcome which is nice. And this from a senior senior. And the owner is environmentally aware, and has made changes to reduce the use of plastic before many others; and is respectful of his staff and so closes every year over the holiday period so staff can be with their family. This is a hidden gem over near the airport on Matheson. A friend of mine works in the area and he suggested it for a Saturday night dinner. We had a great time as the food was hot, fresh, and tasted great, plus the service was very professional. I like places where they have a pride of ownership and this is one where the owners are active in the business, the chef came from the kitchen to check on our meal, and they genuinely appreciated our business. Food was reasonably good, but nothing to rave about or complain about either. Portion sizes were a little large. We were on the patio which was fine, but the chairs were back-breakingingly awful and the patio and tables sort of gave the impression that things weren't all that clean. Wait staff was reasonably attentive but not overly friendly. The overall impression was one of a cramped, crowded space both inside and on the patio -too bad they couldn't expand their space.
